The Cats should beat Marquette. That is a good matchup for them. Now Stanford on the other hand is probably the worst imagineable matchup for the Cats.

Marquette is a pretty good matchup for UK. They also are a very inconsistent team. So I don't think there is any reason really not to think UK can't win this game. Its not like Marquette is a dominate team or anything. It should be a great game.

 

Also the second round game if we win, will be hard against Stanford. However they do struggle against teams with good guards. So Bradley and Crawford would just have to really step up. Also though Stanford might not get past the first round, I really think they might get upset.

I think both teams are happy about this match-up. Neither looks like a team that can handle Stanford. I am going with Marquette, because they are the better team and they must be battle tested playing in the Big East (that conference is loaded!). One thing that stands out to me, is that Marquette is a real good defensive team. IMO I don't think anyone in the SEC has better defensive guards than the trio that Marquette puts on the floor. UK biggest weakness (also JMO) no true PG...
