No big surprise. Besides for Vandy, the teams so far that were suppose to win in the SEC have, and the teams who were suppose to lose have.

Are you serious? Didn't LexCath just win today by only 7? Holmes is a better team than the team LexCath struggled with today.

Paintsville was playing a team in Holmes that almost has always been considered as a team who plays dirty. Just about everyone across the state usually when they think of Holmes thinks of a team that might play dirty. That is the reputation they have. So when people are talking about how the team Holmes played against as being dirty, that really shows how that team really must have been playing dirty, for people to say that about the other team, instead of Holmes like in most years. So that is really saying something about how dirty Paintsville obviously played.

I think that is what is so great about this years Holmes team. They actually play with a lot of class, and don't let other things get in the way of what is most important and that is winning the game. That is why I believe this years Holmes team is better than last years team, even though last years team might have been more talented.

People keep saying this, but in all fairness. We do not know that yet. I mean this team played with a lot of heart led by two seniors, who didn't want to go out like that. Those two guys were also our top two scorers. So we very well next year can take a step back from the 1st round lost team we were this year. If the freshman come in, don't come in and step up right away. We could be looking at another year where we might barely make it, or not even make the tournament at all. So I really don't think we can say at all, that now under Billy G things are going in the right direction YET. Next year will tell the tale about which direction this program is going in IMO.

After 4 rounds to this fight. I have GT winning on the score card for every round.

Wow I wouldn't go that far with it. I know I definitely enjoyed the 2002 through 2005 seasons more than this one. I just think that since the 06 and 07 teams didn't play with much heart at all, it really made this season enjoyable. But lets not get carried away and say this was better than any of the last 7 or 8 years. I think you forget how much fun it was to watch some of the teams I mentioned. Especially the 2003 team.

As of right now, I don't see how we will be a better team next year. The freshman are really going to have to step up big time, for us to to be better next year IMO. The lost of Crawford and Bradley will hurt more than most people realize IMO.

Oh really. So you can almost always just go out and find a guy who is going to lead the league in receiving yards almost every year. While not to mention getting doubled team every single game, which helps out your other receivers. WR's like Chad Johnson are not a dime a dozen. He is one of the best receivers in the whole league. If it would be so easy to find a guy who would produce like he can, then he would have been gone when he first started saying all of this.

The freshman are going to have to play a big role next year and do good at it as well. I know that starting lineup does not look so good to me next year. We have just two scorers there. So the freshman we bring in are going to have to really help out on the offense end. I know right now, I afraid our offense next year could be worst than this years. I think the lost of Bradley, and Crawford are going to hurt us more than we realize.

First of all what makes you think this team wouldn't have had Patterson. It looked like both he and Lucas actually were leaning towards UK, when Tubby left. So good chance he would have been here. Also with Tubby, we do not what injuries would have taken place. Since they have different types of practices and stuff. So might not have had the injury problems, and would not have had the whole learning a new coaches system to start the year. So probably don't have losses to people like Gardner Webb, etc. It was losses like that, that had us on the bubble, and probably wouldn't have happened under Tubby. So I think it is pretty safe to say, that this team would have still been a tournament team under Tubby...Also if Tubby was still here, we don't know what Morris would have done. It was once Tubby left, that Morris decided like the next day to leave. I not saying he would have came back, but would have been better chance if Tubby was still here. Billy G walked into a situation where if everyone healthy, he had a pretty darn talented team. They wouldn't be great, but would be pretty good...That is where I do give Billy G credit though because he had a lot to overcome with the injuries and did A GREAT job dealing with it. So I not putting Billy G down at all, I love him. However Tubby did not leave a terrible team like some of you all have tried to say.

I agree, yet Tubby gets brought up everytime still. So I just arguing the fact that he did not leave a terrible team like some people try to say.

As I said in a previous post, there were many very strong rumors about how Patterson and Lucas both were going to commit to UK at the McDonalds game, but once Tubby left. They decided to wait it out and see what happened with the UK situation..But as I have said a few times though, I do give Billy G credit because he was able to still convince Patterson to still come here after Tubby left, even though Billy G didn't have much of a relationship with him. Yes I can honestly say they are a tournament team IF HEALTHY. Remember to start the year when we struggled we were without Jasper and Meeks. We had Patterson but struggled without those guys. Things changed when Jasper got in the lineup. We have showed just with Jasper in the lineup that we still can play with anyone, and then if you add a scorer like Meeks in that lineup. Then the team is pretty good. So if we had Meeks and Jasper healthy to start the year, then yes I say this team would be a tournament team.

Crawford played great today! But I think people need to give Bradley a lot of credit today as well. He also played a great game, and made huge shots for us as well. Both seniors went out with great game, and making big plays.
