Are you serious? Didn't LexCath just win today by only 7? Holmes is a better team than the team LexCath struggled with today.

Paintsville was playing a team in Holmes that almost has always been considered as a team who plays dirty. Just about everyone across the state usually when they think of Holmes thinks of a team that might play dirty. That is the reputation they have. So when people are talking about how the team Holmes played against as being dirty, that really shows how that team really must have been playing dirty, for people to say that about the other team, instead of Holmes like in most years. So that is really saying something about how dirty Paintsville obviously played.

I think that is what is so great about this years Holmes team. They actually play with a lot of class, and don't let other things get in the way of what is most important and that is winning the game. That is why I believe this years Holmes team is better than last years team, even though last years team might have been more talented.

They are definitely very disciplined this year. I know I was very amazed with how this team actually does seem to play team ball for a change. As long as they keep doing that and playing hard nose defense, they really can win this whole thing, and give the 9th its second state champion ever.

What time does Holmes play on wednesday?

Wow how nice it must be to be able to get players from not only different areas, but different states. However that is one thing that definitely helps all the top football schools in this area stay on top, because not only having talented kids already in their program but also getting talented kids from elsewhere. Im sure with all this Beechwood will be competiting and probably be one of the favorites to win the state again. :thumb:

I know there was a few times they got a little to pass happy. IMO if they ran the ball more earlier in the game against Dayton, they probably would have won that game. So I agree they definitely got to get more balance on offense. I know I not quite to optimistic for this year yet, because they did lose some very key players from last years team. QB will be a huge question mark next year, and so will the line. I know some people have said they would like to see Ludlow get away from the spread, but they just don't realize they don't have the line to do much of anything else. Atleast they haven't the past few years. The spread though allows them though to do more things, even if the line is not that strong. But as I said they do need to mix in the run a lot more this year, even from the spread.

Well they definitely didn't win by as much as they wanted, and they definitely was not able to take it easy like you said. They had to work very hard to pull of that victory. I mean I love it how some people will just give Ludlow no credit at all. I know its funny how even though Ludlow one of the top 10 teams in the region, usually no one give them much respect. Its funny how the team you said that would name the score in Boone Co. has to have an old Ludlow player to be as good as they are. I mean arguably the best player in the region in Behrens is an old Ludlow player that should have still been at Ludlow. Ludlow has to deal with parents moving their players all the time to other schools. I mean just in the last 3 years, two of the best players in the region were former Ludlow girls. This year in Katie Behrens and then two years ago in Rachel Lantry. So its just really funny how people would give a school like Ludlow no respect, when other teams have to get players from Ludlow to be as successful as they are. I mean even without those two players Ludlow has turned into one of the top 10 girl programs in the region. Yet for some reason people like you never give them respect, and have comments like that. Acting like they don't belong there and saying that they would have the scored named on them. Yeah they didn't beat any of the top 5 teams in the region this year, however they are on the very next level below that. So they definitely deserve more respect than what some of you all give them on here.

Congrats to Boone on the win and Congrats to Ludlow on a great season. Ludlow came out and played very hard tonight and definitely made Boone work for it. Ludlow cut it to single digits in the 4th quarter, but couldn't capitalize from there. The future still looks very bright for the Ludlow program with most of the players returning next year. This years seniors definitely will be missed though because they did a lot in turning this program around and making it one of the top ten programs in the region.

Congrats to Katie. I know this is awesome Ludlow grows the talent, and other teams benefit from it. Its nice seeing for the 2nd time in three years another Ludlow girl getting great recognition, being named player of the year and getting to go to a good college to play basketball just like Rachel Lantry another former Ludlow player. It would have been nicer seeing them get it done though while at Ludlow though. :irked: Once again though congrats to Katie, this is really a great accomplishment. I sure she will have a very nice career down at Kentucky Wesleyan! :thumb:

Ludlow has had a good year, but they don't fall under the teams that have overachieved. They are just right in the middle. They didn't overachieve, but they didn't underachieve either.
