Arrez Henderson

Featured Replies

I've heard Louisiana Tech was a big player in the Arrez recruitment. I seen somewhere that Karl Malone was the L-Tech strength coach and was looking forward to the possiblity of working with Arrez. I have seen him ranked as high as the number 4 senior in the state on many websites, behind hopson, miller and mack who are no doubt high D1. Arrez should def. be offered a walk on spot at UK, with his work ethic and BB IQ along with his sec caliber athleticism he would instantly become a favorite of Billy G and earn valuable minutes, much like Ravi Moss. Theres no doubt that Arrez needs polishing on his PG skills, but he is a raw athlete and as a senior could be a very solid player at UK...Arrez shined last year in the state tourney as a junior, and IMO was already better than Preston Knowles who earned a scholly to UofL.

I don't understand why Kentucky looks at a player like Clark Stepp who couldn't make the team at alot of these big name high schools across the state, seriously, and gives him a spot on the team. Yet you have Henderson and more athletic Ramel Bradley type player who COULD play in the SEC and he dosent even get a look fron Kentucky. Alot of politics is what it is or at least what it seems to be.

More athletic than Ramel. Have you ever played with Ramel? I have. You dont realize how athletic and how great these guys handle the ball just watching them, you need to play with them. I find it very hard to believe any high school kid is more athletic than a first team SEC PG.

I think Arrez is a great great player... It's questionable whether he'd be able to play at UK however...

Agreed, but a nice player.

A walk on offer? Sure sounds like a heck of a deal. Don't understand why you would walk on when you could go to a smaller school and "PLAY" and have your education paid for. Must be just for the EGO trip.

Some people are big UK fans. Cameron Mills could have played a lot of places at a lower level. There have been several come through like that. I dont see why you would say a kid is on an ego trip for thinking about walking on at his favorite school. Heck, we still remember guys like Heissenbuttel and Svoboda to this day. Do you think we would ever talk about them if they had went to Transy, etc. You set yourself up for good things being with the UK program.

Malone said that? Then thats a recruiting violation. Better hope Arrez doesnt go there.

Seriously, I doubt Malone has ever said that about anyone. He knows better and I think you know better too.

I said I seen it somewhere, I think on another board...I'm not saying its true but L-Tech is definitely recruiting arrez and after his play in the state tourney I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't earn himself a scholly for a solid mid-major type D1 school.

Attacking one's character is a personal attack. Assessing one's basketball ability is not a personal attack. How else can you debate if he's DI or DII material?

I'm sure those guys know too. L-Tech is in the news so much nowadays...

Maybe not in Kentucky, but with the internet he could look at many other boards, possibly in Louisania.

Henderson isnt even a top 10 player in the sweet 16. He would be a good DII player.

You are joking, aren't you?

I was just refering to jumping ability and athleticism, and I was referring to Bradley as a HS senior compared to Henderson as a HS Senior. I know how strong and how quick Bradley is, quiet possibley one of the quickest players in UK history and nearly impossible to guard. But know harm ment. I have alot of respect for Ramel's game.

Is young Mr. Henderson as good as Preston Knowles (now doing well at UL) was as a high school senior? Maybe that might be a basis for comparison and shed some light on the topic under discussion.

If he's fast WKU might look at him. We lose our starting PG this year so if he can get up and down the floor WKU might be interested.

Arrez Henderson clips from CCH game and a few dunks (for this one, where it says displaying 1-16, scroll over to 16-25 and click on Arrez Henderson)
