That's a tall order for both teams though. Elliot has Mason Co, arguably the best team in the state, and Greenwood has Tiglhman who has shown they can compete with the best in the state with their win over UHA.

 

How would you rank the sweet 16?

 

I dont' have time to look at it right now, but I'll post mine a little later today. For the most part, yours looks pretty decent. I would probably flip LexCath and Mason. Probably move Elliott up a couple of spots, move Greenwood down a few spots. I think Paintsville is way to high. Other than that, it looks pretty good.

Look at South Laurel's schedule and see who they've played and lost to. That will tell you why they are getting no love.

It's been a long time since the 4th Region had a representative that appeared this low on the lists. Probably Barren in 1999. Not disagreeing, it just jumped out at me when I saw that.

No respect for Shelby County. Very athletic team, plays team ball. Could surprise some people.

Look at South Laurel's schedule and see who they've played and lost to. That will tell you why they are getting no love.

 

I think a lot of people don't take into account that teams play different in the post season South always has 4 years straight region champs no one has toched South Laurel in the post season until the second game of the sweet sixteen thats why I think South laurel should be ranked higher they come in focused and ready to go this month is all business for South.

This isn't the same South Laurel team that's graced the Sweet 16 in recent years. To paraphrase Rick Pitino ... Ty Proffitt, Eric Fields, Walt Allen and Jordan Hammonds aren't walking through that door.

Didn't SOuth Laurel barely beat Fairdale last year in the first round and even were trailing without about 2 or 3 minutes to play? To say they weren't "touched" until the second round is an overstatement.
