Not necessarily on who will be in the finals, but if it were seeded, how would they be ranked? I'd have something like this:

I originally had Boone in there.

 

But wasn't too sure they'd beat Elliot by 10+ so I just left them off the list.

All that and they still do not get my vote for 1 or 2.

Unless they win the Sweet 16.

And yes, I do believe they have a decent chance at winning it all. Just have not earned the #1 spot to this point.

No team has dominated the 9th region this year the way Holmes did in a very long time. To beat Covcath 3 times in one season and average a 20 point win against 9th region competition all while doing it starting two sophomores, speaks volumes to how good Holmes really is.

CovCath lost to eventual Sweet Sixteen Champion Warren Central in the final four, in Warren Central closest game of the Sweet Sixteen!

Covcath was a dominating team in 03/04. I wasn't trying to take away from what they did. I was talking more along the lines of how dominating they were INSIDE the 9th region though. See my post.

CCH played the majority of their starters "almost the whole game"? That's not true at all. If I remember correctly, CCH had at least 6 (maybe 7) different players lead them in scoring throughout the regular season on any given night. I'd consider that team one of the most balanced teams in the 9th in recent history.

 

And you're giving the edge to a team that starts 2 sophomores over a team that played 6 seniors & 2-3 juniors (1 who went D1)? Seems odd to give youth the advantage of experience.

You misread my post. I meant Holmes dominance inside the 9th this year might be a little more impressive than CCH' of 04 simply because Holmes has done it with a group of young guys where as CCH did it with a senior dominated team.

I don't think CCH '04 lost in the region, whereas Holmes had that one L to NCC.

What does all this have to do w/ the Sweet 16? It's over. Holmes was very dominate this year, and CovCath was a dribble off the foot from being in the state championship in '04. However, this is about the 16 regional champions, not whose dad is tougher.
