Well, thats not really what I was getting at. But, since you responded, I would take T. Knipp over Miller in a freshman year match-up, anytime. My thoughts on the game. I don't see Middleton having another career night, I see nerves getting to Setty............I see Elliott dropping long balls. I see a much closer than expected Mason win... If the refs don't get caught up in Billy G. fever, and Miller is off I could easily see EC winning this game.

I believe that we all can agree Mason has the advantage over Elliott, and is likely to win. However the game has not been played yet and I can guarentee Elliott will not just give it to them. I am an Elliott fan but I do admit Mason is the better team. But stranger things then Elliott beating Mason have happened. I know Elliott lost to Mason by 29 the first time around but that means nothing. A few years ago Elliott lost to Rowan County twice during the regular season by 27 points each game. When the regional tournament came around Elliott beat Rowan by 7 for their first ever regional win. This season Elliott beat East Carter by 30 something, yet only beat them by 1 the next time around at Sandy Hook. So though Mason does have the advantage and will probally win I believe we need to be a little more cautious guarenteing it. With that said Go Elliott!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rowan County is no Mason County in any season.......Mason by 15.

In order for Elliott County to win and end Miller's high school career, they will have to do something they have NOT done this season or the last season or the season before that, and that's beat a top 20 team. Mason will be sharp for this game and they will take full advantage of their height over the much shorter EC team that enabled the Royals to win easy the first time.

If Mason uses Miller as a post player, they'll be able to win by as many as they wish. From what I seen the last time these two teams met, Miller did a little bit of everything, and as often as he liked. But overall, I don't think Elliott has the bench to play with Mason. At any point in the first meeting Mason could go to their bench and not lose much. Elliott has a good starting five but only 1 or 2 on the bench that can help. So, with that being said I will say:

A great deal of state could cry about the officiating too.

 

Elliott County got thumped by 29 points. Most would say the officiating didn't cause the bulk of this blowout. In EC's only two games against top 20 teams this season, Elliott lost both of them and by an average margin of 20 points.

Elliott Co. one and out. But, I think the Ferguson kid is the best player on the floor in this one.

Wow. There are people on here that have argued that Ferguson isn't even the best player on his own team. If he started for Mason County (that, to me, is an if), he'd be their fourth or fifth option. I know everyone's entitled to their opinion, but ... just wow.
