This deals more with county and tradition then size of the school. Elliott Co. cant stop Darius, and I think they could even have a hard time stopping someone like Neal Pawsat or anyone for that matter that can play in the post. Although Elliott is more physical then other teams in the 16th, the 10th is just a tad bit more physical. Mason wins this game, gives there freshman a little bit of experience playing at Rupp, should be a very fun game to watch with the expected size of the crowds.

It's Mason Co. but it isn't by nearly as many as most of you seem to think. mason by 7 or 8.

I wouldn't get over confident if I were a Mason County fan, Elliott could beat Mason. It would be the ultimate upset and I don't think they will, because nobody can stop Miller but if Miller was in foul trouble or had a terrible night the Lions have enough weapons to win this game. The key is Elliott has to play better defense than they did in the first game, they let Middleton stand and shoot wide open 3's the hole game and he made them pay. They can't stop Miller so if they can shut everyone else down they do have a chance.

I've only seen one person talk about players for Mason other than Darius. Trust me, they have more players than just him. Trevor Setty, Middleton, and a couple others, idk their names. I've seen them win games without Miller playing his best, so trust me they have more weapons than just him.

T. Knipp is capable of stopping someone in the post, but a player like Miller will take him outside and beat him off the dribble every time but if you say they can't stop someone in the post you probably havn't seen them play much this year. Now Darius would give any team fits in the post. Miller will probably guard Ferguson again so every one else will have to step it up for Elliott to have a chance.

Coach OHearn has been coaching for four years at Mason County and has been to Rupp twice and lost in finals of the Region once. This seem pretty impressive to me. I wonder how this compares with other Royal coaches first four years. Anybody know what records of other coaches were?
