This is a great debate that I've seen several times from different people on ESPN, PTI, etc...

My vote goes to Deron Williams. Overall, I just like his game the best. He always seems to be poised, under control and so smart. He's proven to be a clutch performer who can make big shots for you in pressure situations. He's also got pretty good size (6'3") for a PG and his long arms make him a very good one-on-one defender, IMO.

For me, it came down to he and Chris Paul and it was a really tough decision. I think you can make a case for any of these guys, but for me, Paul and Williams are the only two who have the total package.

Nash is great, but he's very weak defensively. Kidd is great, but his shooting is weak and he doesn't give you the offensive threat of Paul and Williams. Baron Davis can be a streaky guy, IMO and he can be injury prone. Billups is solid, but isn't as dynamic as the other two...he can't break defenses down and apply pressure the same way Williams and Paul can. Parker is also very solid and well-rounded, but I don't think he's as good offensively as Paul and Williams. Parker isn't a big threat from the three point line...

For me, Paul and Williams don't have any weakness at the PG position. Both guys can score, shoot the 3, penetrate and break down defenses, defend, create for their teammates...I just like Williams a little better.

I like Tony Parker, he may not be the best but he has the NBA Titles and a hot wife.

This is a really hard choice, I'm leaning towards a healthy Baron Davis or Steve Nash.

It is...it's a great debate, IMO. That's why I started the thread. You could pick any of these guys and make a good argument for them.

I love Steve Nash. Best distributor in the half court AND best shooter in the group. But it's really, really close. Chris Paul is fun to watch, Deron Williams is right there with him, and Jason Kidd is the best passer overall because he's so good in transition. Baron Davis is big and more of a scorer but is great and I'll take Chauncey Billups if I need a late game shot. Impossible to be wrong on this one.

I personally like Chauncey Billups to lead my team. He is a great leader, very good shooter, etc. He is bigger than most PG's so he can post them up and he can kill you from outside. He is a winner and can take that shot late in the game.

Chris Paul is probably next in line as he is just getting started. If he could get on a team with a very good scorer beside him he will be nuts and the next great point guard.

I've got to go with Chris Paul. Jason Kidd has had an unimpressive season this year.

I like Chris Paul for this one.

But yet Nash wins 2 straight MVP's and people call me crazy for saying its a joke.:sssh:

A toss up with Steve Nash and Chris Paul. I went with Nash because he has 2 MVPs.

If I was putting a team together today, my PG would be either Paul or Williams.
