So running in the rain isn't stupid but running at 5am whether it is raining or not is stupid?

No 5am and rain makes it stupid. I have no problem with 5am if it's not raining. I have no problem with running in the rain as long as it's between May and September.

What if it's 5am, raining, mid January but your in Hawaii?

With the way my knee is I can only do workouts that have little to no impact on my knee. I used to run about a mile a day, however now I have to settle for a bike or walking. I also do a lot of skating for hockey.

For many, it is the only time they can. You can get up, run, go to work. Many times evenings are taken up with kid activities or other commitments. Also the roads and sidewalks are less busy so your not constantly stopping for traffic are dodging walkers.

How in the heck would you know what its like at 5am?:D I think the last time you were up at 5 it was after the post state game celebration and even then, I seriously doubt that you had any powers of observation. :D:D

P.S. I love you dear.

:lol: Suck up.

I'm envious. I can't run at all and can barely walk these days. Those of you that can, more power to you. Those of you that can and choose not, more power to you as well.

Getting old huh? :D

Ugh!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :irked::irked::irked:

Had God intended people to run He wouldn't have invented horses.

Nice one!! :lol::lol::lol:

Dedicated. I played sports but hated running. My theory is that running is only good when your chasing something or being chased. In soccer we ran A LOT but b/c we have to follow the ball. XC and Track athletes have my utmost respect b/c they do something I hate and are good at it.

Dedicated. Maybe it was the only time that they could run that day and they didn't want to take a day off. Even if that wasn't the case, it doesn't matter what time or what the weather conditions are for those you love to run. I commend them for their dedication.

Your right, the last time I was awake at 5 a.m. was the post state game celebration. The thing is, I didn't wake up at 5, I just never went to sleep. You know if you hear the birds singing or the runners are out, it is time to go to sleep if you haven't.:jump:

Hey, there was that one time when I did wake up with you and walked with you because your usual walking partner didn't show up.:banana:

I am an evening runner if am ever able to run on pavement again.

I think that if you're in good shape its easy to enjoy running. Personally, I'm in the best shape of my life and after I run now I feel great. Maybe thats the only time someone has to run and if runnin in the rain doesn't bother them then thats dedication.
