Dedicated or Stupid ?

Featured Replies

I ran D1 track in college, and let me tell you, there is no feeling in the world like winning a race. (I ran the 400). When you turn about and smile at those poor guys that you just tooled…..well, there are no words to describe it.

I still run a lot now, mostly because I’m in the military, but I still carry a little bit of that with me. When I run, I feel like I’m kicking the worlds butt. Its fun, you should try it…

I don't know, sometimes I think it is a little of both. As a five-day-a-week runner, I don't mind running in the rain. I don't even mind running while it is snowing. But when you try to run with a snow or (worse) ICE on the ground, which I sometimes do, I'm not sure how smart that is. I've never had any bad spills running on snow, but I have really gotten myself sore trying to tip-toe in the stuff. It really puts a strain on your legs. Also, I have to question myself for running in 16 degree weather, as I did a couple of months ago. Wore a couple of layers of clothing, a warm-up, and then a light coat over top. When I finished and took my warm-ups off, water literally POURED off me!

Still, like others who have posted earlier, if I don't run, I just don't feel right.
