Here's what I heard. When Highlands drew CovCath in the first round, Willie looked like the Scott dad from last night. Why is it that the topic has to be what was CovCath's reaction?

Should be a fun tournament. The first rd. game between Highlands and CCH, could very well be the best game of the region.

Holmes definetly got rewarded for having the best record in nky and winning the 35th.

 

I don't think it can get any easier in the first round with Bellevue. Starters will be out by the end of the first quarter and will be rested for the semi final match up.

 

Conner or Dixie in the semi's will be a better game, but I don't see Holmes being tested until the finals from Covcath or Highlands. Holmes has already beat Conner at Conner by 14 and Dixie at Dixie by 15. Both games were never close.

 

WIth that being said though, CCH v Highlands is probably one of the best first round games of a regional tournament in the state. Winner will get another shot to knock off Holmes in the finals.

Everyone keep talking about how Conner is not a scary team to play. Their record at home is not the best. Just to let everyone know it's tournament time. And guess who Conner's coach is, Jim Hicks. That's all I have to say.

I don't think anyone is really saying Conner isn't a scary team to play at home come tournament time. Everyone remembers the upset they pulled against #1 Covcath 3 years ago.

 

They have been beaten by Dixie twice this year, both by double digits but Boone did the same thing and got upended by them in the district tourney.

I wasn't posting negatively against your post, just pointing out it would be crazy for the smaller schools to seed and not have a chance to make the regional tournament. I'm sure you would feel different if you were from one of the small schools.

Personally I feel worse for the Holmes players. If they beat Bellevue by 30 or more, their thugs, and showed no sportsmanship. If they score 100 points or more, the cry will be, they have no class. Holmes if they only win by 20 or so, and Bellevue will cry, see we belong, but most fans will know that Holmes was just being kind. See I feel worse for the Holmes kids because they are being put into a spot that they shouldn't have to be in, and for them, this game will be no fun at all!
