Conner at Conner is tough. I would hate to have to play Conner on their court. CovCath has been there and done that, and it wasn't pretty at all. Dixie, and Holmes, be careful what you wish for!

Thankfully the day's of home court advantage are gone after this year for the Ninth Region! Thank you, Bank of Kentucky!

BTW congrats to Villa for getting into the 9th Region for the first time, enjoy! Bellevue, see you again, when you luck out in the draw!

2005 Holmes 53 Conner 39 - 9th Region Final (at Conner)

Compared to what? Fanspeak!

I gave you the reason, I believe qryche11 said the same thing! Holmes draw, as oral32 said, could only have been better, if CovCath and HHS played in the semi's. Now after giving you three different statements, from three different teams fans, how can you not understand, that what I told you, is true?

Wash, Rinse, SPIN...

You get the worst possible first round matchup, sitting second is possibly one of the hottest teams in the region in St Henry with Coach Faust getting four days to prep...

Worst possible draw you could ask for.

Doesn't mean they can't win...just a tough draw.

One thing to remember, is that this year again, the semi's are to be shown live on ICN6. My guess is that this will be the last year that this will be done, unless Insight comes up with some major $$$ to broadcast these games. With the move to The Bank of Kentucky Center, they will not be clearing the stands between the games anymore, but of course, I am sure the cost will be much higher. I for one, will not complain at all.

Will these games be on the web?

According to their press release, session tickets will be $8. A limited number of courtside seats will be available at $10.

Not much more than the cost of the tourney now.

It's bogus that some district seed and some draw (sorry I didn't paint a better picture for you). Who do you think Holmes would have been playing, if (not a big if too) the 36th had seeded? Why NCC, who BTW is the only Ninth Region team to beat Holmes this season. While I think Holmes would have beaten NCC this time, Holmes wouldn't be sitting their starters after the first quarter in that game. That is why I think the KHSAA needs to have all district seed, since only 12 don't seed now!

BTW, you did notice, that I said I would feel the same way if, CovCath had won the 35th District and were playing Bellevue.

Big schools always want to seed to insure their place in the region, why if you are a little school who likes the payday of a regional apperance, would you want to seed? Until they break it down and split all the money evenly the Bellvues and Villa Madonas of the world would be crazy to seed.

Feb.29th 2008 St. Henry 63 Conner 57. Oh and played at Conner!

Does anyone know what Conner will be charging for each session?

I don't think Conner makes that determination. I'm guessing it will be $5 or $6.

"Quarterfinal and semifinal ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Finals tickets are $6 across the board. The gym will be cleared before the first and second semifinal games."

This is what Ryan posted for the 9th region girls....if what you're saying is true, than we can assume it will be the same for the boys.

Conner is 6-7 on their home court this year. Yes, they have the win over Highlands at their place this year. Hardly a scary record for promoting home court advantage.

I'm pretty sure the KHSAA sets the prices so , yes, it will be the same for girls and boys.

I guess its fitting that the team that had the best record in the 9th gets the best draw. #2 and #3 may have a different feeling.

It's my understanding that HHS and NCC both are/were willing to share. So what do you say now?

BTW, I never said a negative word about Villa!
