Roy Lucas Jr. still has Coach Cooley, Coach Hobbs, Coach Pilgrim and I think they just hired Coach Parish back. Sorry this is another thread. I was just trying to find out where Coach Nevels landed, I really did like this young man. JD

Wow! This is a great hire for Scott. Wait till those boys get a taste of his off-season program!

I can't imagine taking a job that would prevent me from watching my child play high school sports.

I agree totally.....When something seems too good to be true, usually it is....With a record like Coach Campbell has had during his tenure at GC, it makes no sense to take the Scott High Job and commute about 45 mintutes one way...It just doesn't seem like this is for the long haul, but who knows! Either way, Good Luck to Coach Campbell and the Eagles!

Congrats to Coach Campbell if this is the direction he feels is best for him and his family. He is a first class guy and I wish him the best.

Probably a great coach and hopefully can turn program around. However, I don't get the commute thing. You are asking athletes, parents and community to make the commitment to turn the program around but you are still going to live an hour away? Coaches put in long crazy hours and to add an hour commute each way? Is this a short term fix for the program?:confused:

He is one of the best motivators I have ever been around and can flat out coach defense. The best thing that he brings to the table though is his ability to make kids better in the weight room.

Congrats Coach Campbell. I truly hope, for the benefit of current and future Scott football players, that you can take Coach Frisk's accomplishments and build on them.

Congratulations to Coach Campbell. He is a great coach and will certainly be an asset to the Scott program. In reference to the commute questions, Coach Campbell's wife is a professor at Georgetown College. That might give some insight to the commute.
