I was just trying to find out where Coach Nevels landed, I really did like this young man. JD

 

I talked to Ben a few days ago, and he wasn't sure if he was going to coach this year. I hear from him every now and again, so when I know something I'll keep you updated...

Lots of NKYer's make the commute to Georgetown on a daily basis to work at Toyota. It's not that bad of a drive. I do think his entire coaching salary will go towards the gasoline bill though...

Do you guys ever think that the excitement of building a program outweighs the $$$. I know in my life now,if an opportunity came along to do something that I have always wanted to do and financially I was stable, I would jump on it. Good Luck Coach Campbell.

So what's with this new guy??? It's been almost 2 weeks since the big announcement followed by a meeting with the team....a week later!! Other than that, is he in hiding?

My understanding is that he is interviewing guys to join his staff and will be starting his weight program this week or next.

I believe Scott made a good hire with Coach Campbell he seems to want to do the right things for the prgram. I wish him luck especially getting the things he wants to improve the facility I have been there and nothing really seems to get done when it comes to improvements at Scott unless it is done by the parents. Maybe things will change only time will tell. I did hear that Coach Campbell is bringing back a few Coaches from last years staff which is fine especially the Offensive Coordinator from last year kids really do like him and respect him. I hope he also brings the Freshman Coach back from last year to help out somewhere if not at the Freshman level. These 2 Coaches that I've mentioned are class acts and deserve to be back. The other Coach that is supposedly coming back I will not comment on too much but I believe that is a bad decision to bring him back however this is Coach Campbell choice and I wish him all the luck in the world with the program and I will be there still rooting for my Eagles no matter what.

I'm not sure where you get your information, but I know first hand that Coach Campbell should be prepared to spend 18-hour days at SHS. He will also need to brush up on his field-grooming skills because he will be the one to do everything from cutting the grass to emptying the garbage. Too bad "coaching" isn't the only job he has signed on for.

If he can't get parents of players and fans of the program at Scott to cut the grass and empty the garbage so Coach Campbell can concentrate on coaching, shame on the parents and fans.

From my time around the Scott program there has been some great and Loyal parents that would do anything for the program. And for those parents im glad I got to meet them.

Coach Campbell told me he was looking forward to coaching his boys. I think his plan is to take the boys with him and the moving or staying is still up in the air.

He is one INTENSE dude. The Eagle football players will be strong and they will play hard. You all got a good one.

Good. Then Coach Campbell won't have to cut grass, empty garbage cans, or do anything other than focus on coaching his kids (which is they way it should be). Well, I should probably do a little teaching now and then.

I just heard word that Coach Dave Simpson will not be returning with the Eagles in 2008...

 

Any word on why? I know he was doing the weight program until they hired someone.
