February 14, 200818 yr Cheers is my all-time favorite. After that I also really liked Seinfeld and M*A*S*H.
February 14, 200818 yr The Andy Griffith Show (imo no question THE BEST EVER) All In the Family (another Great one, I rate it right behind A.G.) Bob Newhart Show M.A.S.H. Seinfied Barney Miller Everybody Loves Raymond Cheers (oldramblers honorable mention) Two and a Half Men Friends The Honeymooners I Love Lucy Sanford and Son According to Jim (may not belong with the others but I like it)
February 14, 200818 yr Coupling (British Version) I used to watch BBC America a few years back when I plunked down the cash for digital cable, and always tried to catch "Absolutely Fabulous" as often as possible. They would play it in a three- or four-show block along with the original versions of "Coupling" and "The Office," and I fell in love with both shows. Funny stuff.
February 14, 200818 yr As far as my all-time favorite, "M*A*S*H" wins easily. Other faves include: Cheers All In The Family Barney Miller Sanford and Son Absolutely Fabulous Hogan's Heroes

February 14, 200818 yr Cheers Home Improvement The Andy Griffith Show Does Entourage count? I love that show. I don't consider it a comedy, but it is also my favorite show airing today.
February 14, 200818 yr Actually, that was not "The Bob Newhart Show". What you are referring to was the sitcom simply named "Newhart". However, "Newhart" had the best series ending of any sitcom (or any show for that matter) I have ever seen. The last seen of the final episode Bob wakes up in bed with Susan Pleshette on the set of the old "The Bob Newhart Show" telling her that he had this nightmare where he was an inn keeper in Vermont and there were these brothers, and ..... You are correct. I always liked Mr. Carlin on The Bob Newhart Show. And the ending was great. Vaguely similar to the ending of St. Elsewhere; a real twist. Maybe the two best ending plot twists in TV.
