February 14, 200818 yr Author My goodness how do I forget CHEERS! That may be the BEST ever! I Love Lucy, The Andy Griffith Show, and M*A*S*H* are CLASSICS! I never really watched them avidly, but they are very good! My wife reminded me of her favorite's Roseanne and The Golden Girls!
February 14, 200818 yr I've been watching The Beverly Hillbillies recently and trying to analyze why I like it so much. The jokes are predictable and the Clampett family's ignorance of even the most common thing is many times annoying. I think it is Jed's sense of values, fairness, how easily he forgives, and how slow he is to anger, yet with both the physical and financial strength to crush anyone who crossed him if he so desired. There's a lot of the Mayberry values underneath the dumb hillbilly stereotypes that make it almost a relaxing show to watch. Plus, Ellie May is hot!
February 14, 200818 yr Cheers, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke, MASH, Lucy, Sanford & Son, Andy Griffith, All in the Family, Taxi, Cosby, Frasier. On the British side, Fawlty Towers, Father Ted, Keeping up Appearances.
