What school is Stonebreaker going to? I wouldnt think he would OC for a school that passes or runs the Tony Franklin system.

I heard that Jerry Perry was being seriously considered for the job. He previously coached at Garrard back in the 90's. He is more than capable to do the job and was well liked.

The question is not if Garrard wants him, but if he wants Garrard. If Coach Perry wants to go back to Garrard then i dont think the Administrators would blink at the chance.

Garrard would be lucky to have a great person as well as coach as Jerry Perry. He is a great football minded, educated, and does things the right way. He will restore the discipline there at GC.

I would have to agree that Perry would be a good one. Having played against Garrard during his tenure, the name "Garrard County" use to carry a lot more meaning. You knew you were going into a den and would have to fight your way out. They've lost that edge, and definitely need to restore that.

Perry would be the best candidate in my opinion, but what a huge blow that would be to the Admirals if he left.

They should a solid nucleus coming back, a lot of sophomores. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I think the bulk of the starters will be juniors. There are a few sophomores-to-be that get some playing time, though.

What other opportunities? Perry left in 1996 and Jeff Hester was hired. After Hester resigned in 2000, Stonebraker was hired. By my count that says the Garrard County job has only been open once since he left.

 

I think it's probably an assumed fact that Perry wants the Danville job after Harp leaves. I think Marty Jaggers might have wanted the same when he left Lincoln. But Danville won't forget them if they wait out Harp in another location.
