Well I think a Cooper was on this list earlier as well. Looks like Mark Scenters would be a good candidate. Anyone know if he has applied for it?? I'd take Cooper or Scenters over Bill Curry:laugh:

Cooper is suppose to be talking to Settles. Looks like he might be returning to Lincoln.

Cooper is done at Garrard. I also heard he might be going to Lincoln.

Why would Cooper go to Lincoln county other than he is from there. Settles calls the Defense at Bullitt East and he needs a offensive coordinator at Lincoln and Cooper is not an offensive mind.

It is hard to say never, but I don't see this happening. How about former OC Darren Yaden calling the offense? It wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to stir one up. I was just going over the entire thread and mentioning the names that had been mentioned without being shot down. I don't know Cooper at all. I do however know Mark Scenters. I got the chance to sit down and talk with him at the Nike Coach of the Year clinic in Louisville, over the weekend. Great "football" guy. I hope to see him get a head spot somewhere. He is a real gentleman, and a good teacher of the game. He hasn't done D coordinator for a while, but I knew he used to call the D at Madison Central for a while, and I wanted to pick his brain. Great guy!

I just hope garrardgnat gets whoever he wants so he can finally be happy and not complain about the coaches we had. I have no doubt the administration will hire who is best for the KIDS and not who a "select few" in the community want.

Honestly, I think this will be part of the problem in attracting a new coach. The negativity towards the football program in Garrard County has gotten unbearable.
