Unless it is Hester or Mason I would not be real excited. Cannot see either one being interested.

Hester has been at Garrard once. It is hard to imagine he would consider a return. Maybe it was Mason that visited today.

I dont think it would be Mason, he has a son that is a junior or senior. I would think the Boyle assistant would be John Hodge who is from Garrard.

Here is a name to throw out at you all.....Doug Preston. He has been a head coach at several schools and is a great coach. Anyone else think he would be a good fit?

I heard he wanted the West Jessamine job pretty bad, and interviewed. He seems to always be in this area after leaving for a few years. I personally don't think it would be a good hire if Garrard wants to re instill discipline, and a winning tradition.

 

My reasons: Look at what he done at Paris as HC - ran a lot of kids off and then came back to this area to be an assistant. (He's assisted at Lincoln, Danville, Garrard) While at Rowan Co. he only won a handful of games and dropped his team out of district to be able to compete, which I think is a horrible move for such a big school.

 

I also would like to think he interviewed for the Garrard job before Jeff Hester got it, and thought the same thing about dropping GC out of district to "build" for the future.

 

If you can't play out of district with teams you can compete against, how can you survive a district opponent that has played better competition and may be more capable of producing positive results.

No. Mr. Network has reported that he has officially accepted the Lincoln job.

Well, Lincoln has their job filled. Let's see what Garrard can do to fill theirs. Based on the info in this thread, they are off to a tough start. Perry says no and Settles is going to Lincoln. Two strong candidates already off the board. Maybe they will have something resolved before long.

Well I think a Cooper was on this list earlier as well. Looks like Mark Scenters would be a good candidate. Anyone know if he has applied for it?? I'd take Cooper or Scenters over Bill Curry:laugh:
