Don't have a problem with Garrard, I'm just answering a line of questions from previous posts. I agree there are people like that everywhere. I'm not trying to bash, I'm just trying to get so factual information out there. I've said all along that I hope Coach Scenters the best of luck and want him to succeed. Hopefully I've not gave that kind of message that I'm against the new coaching staff because I'm not. I'm just against the few who sit behind a personal agenda. Don't hate the messenger.

I don't know who you think supports and who does not. I don't know you. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the "head hunters." Like I said earlier, they work in packs. You've got the local paper propaganda, you've members of a so-called supportive group and you've got some in the community. These people of very supportive in the beginning, but will soon put a knife in your back when you take a step backward. I'll leave it at that.

Let's clear this up......Does tearing down happen in Garrard? Absolutely! There are few, as we all know that thrive on negativity. When the football teams wins, they're not happy. When the team loses, pure bliss. Catlion, you'd be suprised to know the people you think support are the ones who like to tear it down. Let's call it False Support.

Nobody says that there is no support. There is definitely support, both positive and negative. I just state the truth - sometimes thats a tough pill to swallow.

I know Coach Yaden well, he would do a great job. The big question is, who will be the "DC"??

I've recently gotten to know Coach Stonebraker and he seems to be a great person. I've been able to watch alot of Garrard's games and I like his style of play. I think he's a very good coach and it was unfortunate to see his tenure end like it did - (like I said earlier...."a few in the community who wanted to activate their personal interest." Unfortunately those who I speak of didn't get their man. However, I do not know Coach Scenters and I honestly want and hope that he does a good job. There is nothing negative to say about Coach Scenters, I don't know him. From all the qualities that everyone says about him it sounds like he's a great guy and a good hire for Garrard Co. I just hope that he does not suffer the same fate as Coach Stonebraker and his staff did. It seems that the expecatations for GC football, to some, is within comparison to USC (Winning - Not Uniforms). What I seem to not find is the same desire to support and help as compared to the "expectations to win." Maybe if some would find ways to support and help Coach Scenters if he goes through some hard times instead of sitting at the end of field or in the football team's fieldhouse and dogging everything - the program may move forward again. How long with the shine last with the new coach when the so-called "football legends" at Garrard are never satisfied?? I just think Coach Stonebraker's demise was unfortunate and I will continue to support him as well. I hope that he does a great job at Dunbar. In all, Coach Scenters....Good Luck - Coach Stonebraker.....Good Luck!

Sorry Hatz for the misinterpretation. I was a young lad when they were playing so I can't really back up the word "dominate". Listening to their stories would make you think otherwise!!

Maybe provide more community involvement, different types of promo's and the attempt to create some type of college or professional experience may help. When people can get into games for free and teams provide great concessions and there is still few in attendance what else can you do??

Blockbuster, you nailed it. Stonebraker went through the same thing. He was an icon when he first got to Garrard, especially with the success he had early. When the talent level fell, the love and open arms of the Garrard faithful were no more. The vultures that Blockbuster talks of are the members of the Lion Pride Association and certain members of Garrard's local paper - they all work together in unison. I truly hope that Coach Scenters does a good job at Garrard, but if he does not, you will definitely see the vultures flying. (Especially the one that sit near the end zone at the home games)

I hope the new head coach gets better support from the "mighty" Lion Pride Association that Coach Stonebraker did.

That info is what I heard. Obviously everyone knows more than me because I haven't been able to put forth the names like you all have and I don't know the statistical background of Garrard either. I just think if this candidate leaves, it's a huge loss.

Catlion, sounds like gchs_uk9 has all the "inside" info. Find out who the sports editor is at Garrard, maybe he will know who the native is. My info is just heresay. I do think the best candidate for the job is going to Lincoln, so Garrard is missing out on that. Lincoln's gain and Garrard's loss.
