Went to a state title contender in 08.

Bourbon County. Poynter will get it done!

Boyle County went from 5-7 to 13-1 and one play (or 1:00 ) from being in the State Finals in 4A. I think that was the largest turnaround. They went from one end to the other in the respect field. :thumb:

Hopefully we'll do a complete 360

Hope so for the players, but he has no idea what he is getting for at BO CO. He better have a contract longer than 3 yrs or he'll be out like Coach Massie, he will win a few games due to the schedule Coach Massie had lined up for the up coming season.

Biggest turn around from 07 to 08 for me is Monroe County - chased out of the playoffs in the first round in 07 and then giving Ft. Campbell all they wanted in the Semi-final in 08. (07 Record 2-9) (08 Record 12-2)

 

BGP should have given more consideration for the Coach of the Year to coach Pettet, not even a mention.

 

Agree MONROE CO. had a poor 07 season. Big turn around in 08. Hope to see another Falcon vs Falcon semi state game in 09.

13-1 is quite a drop off from 2007 to 2008.

Western Hills in Frankfort had a big turn around in 2008. From 1-10 in 2007 to 6-4 in 2008 (beating 4A schools Franklin Co, West Jessamine, and East Jessamine; as well as 5A schools Grant Co and Anderson Co). They were within 10 points of winning their first district title and hosting a play-off game. Should continue their improvement with only 4 seniors on the 2008 team.

It would be hard to find a better turnaround than the Colonels from 2007 to 2008.

Thanks FalconBacker for the shout!! I agree that Monroe with its 2-11 season in 07 and to turn around in 08 and go 12-2 to semi state in 08...that's a pretty good turn around in my book. The senior class that John had this year will be well missed, he had them from freshman when he took the head coaching job at Monroe. But don't be surprised with the up and coming in monroe, I feel we will have a good one next year as well!
