I think Farley will be the back up qb. The only way you gain experience is to get in there and do it. He will get plenty of reps in practice and some at the end of games. Another year starting on jv and taking charge of the backup role on varsity this year, and I think he will be ready to go for his junior year. The kid has alot of talent.

 

Nothing against the boy but he reminds me of a lineman more than a QB. IMO Bobby McKee will need to be the back up.

Whomever the backup QB is should have to earn the job and I am confident that Coach Hoof and the staff will make the right decision as to who gets the job. Competition is a great thing and it will help develope both of these young men into good players.

If both of the young QB's work hard and follow what the coaching staff teaches, the sky could be the liimit for them. Working together as one and putting the team first makes everyone involved a winner.

A lot of work to be done in Ramland. The Rams have a chance for a great year, but they will only be able to achieve this through hardwork.

I like the thought of the younger ones moving up trying out for certain positions and I will tell you why. Too many times the boys are put into positions in JFL and thats it. They play that one and only position all the way through. Realizing it could be that is exactly where the coach wants him. As they get older their bodies change and that position may not be right for them anymore. Maybe they have a hidden talent that has never been developed for another position.

I watched a couple of young men change their positions for the good of the team and excelled in them. I also watch several that only played JV their freshman and sophmore year work extremely hard at JV and start Varsity.

Kids should be put in a place where they can best benifit the team, not where someone in the stands "wants" them to be .

I have full confidence that our coaches will make the right decisions and position placements, with hard work by everyone and everyone playing for "Team" goals this could be a very good season.

You are correct in that nothing should be set in stone, just bc a kid has played a lot at one certain position does not necessarily mean that he wouldn't help the team at another.

Thanks for this info Ram, I wasn't sure which district that ours would be playing this season. I am not that familar with that districtas far as to pick a favorite in that one. I think that I rmember some posters saying Campbellsvile should be good and Lynn Camp seems to always be mentioned in that area. Hopefully someone can give us some insight on that district.

In my humble opinion, it will be a dog fight, and honestly that is all that I can predict. Last year was a playoff atmosphere, and I expect the same this year, high in emotion and intensity. Anyone can win those type of games. It will be the game of the week.

It will a battle but Russell should win if everybody stays health.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Russell by 14 and 4 of the boys didnt make the Raceland weigh meet earlier in the year. GOOD LUCK RAMS IN THE PLAYOFFS.

Yeah it is . There is a summer practice/Camp Ram..... fall practice/workouts..... 9 weeks of the season... 3 conference games and.... 4 district games that come before that one.

 

I will start talking about that one on Oct. 25th of this year.:thumb:

 

Russell is a big pride, nice $ draw at the gate and fan interest game and we would love to win it as we do all of them but that game doesn't get us to where we want to be and that is the top district seed going into the Class A Playoffs.
