I am sure that the large margin of victory predictions in Favor of Elliott is what prompted your Olympic etc post's and the highlighted one above. I went to all the prediction posts and checked out the posters previous posts

and done a pretty close assumation of whether they were Elliott or from elsewhere. I know practically all of the Elliott posters anyway. It is not 100% but it will be close. There were 20 people predicted a large margin of victory in favor of Elliott. Four were sure Elliott so I added three more to cover which makes seven. That leavesThirteen, by far the larger margin who were not Elliott and picked them anyway.

 

Now a couple question's for you:irked: It seems evident you are a Rose Hill fan. If you were on a prediction thread making a prediction for Rose Hill and they were 17-1 and their margin of victory was 25-35 pts per game, You had never played the team you were predicting against, but that team had played a couple of the same teams you had beaten, and you won by a far larger margin, would you not predict your team to win by quite a margin?

 

Does it really mean you don't how to handle success because you really,

really love your team and players and support them 200%(if possible)

and go a little overboard on a prediction, or jump right on someone whom

you think could possibly be being a little negative towards them?

 

I lied...I have three: If your team was on a roll and winning way more than ever before and were great kids, do you think it would be possible that you

yourself might get a little or even a lot overzealous?

All I have to say is I do know a little about basketball. Elliott is a good team and they deserve all the praise they are getting. Go Lions.! ! ! ! !:thumb:

When I mentioned D1 I am referring to Division 1. Division 1 is a term used by people when speaking of NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association, member schools. There are multiple divisions in the NCAA. Division 1 schools are generally the larger schools and are able to give full athletic scholarships to students, along with division 2 schools. Half of the starting guards on Rose Hill, the team GoRadio referenced to, is currently being watched by several division 1 schools who are interested in one day having him come to their school and playing basketball in exchange for a scholarship giving him a quality college education.

The reference to Ms Liberty was made because she, I am using the female personal pronoun because this poster has referred to themselves as a woman in the past, is known on this board as an ardent supporter of Elliott Co. and their basketball program.

In summation, I was saying GoRadio's statement of "from what I have heard about them", may have come from a person who is also an ardent supporter of Elliott Co. basketball, which as we all know is the opponent of Rose Hill this Monday night.

The finals are on Fri. the 25th. The boys play at 7:45 and the girls game will be first, I think at 6:00.

I did not notice where goradio said anything about RH having sub par guards. I interpreted this post as being highly complimentary of Elliott's guardplay and not being overly critical of RH's guards.

Actually I am not a Rose Hill guy. I hope they do well because I support small schools in general and the includes your boys. If you took the time to read the entire thread you would notice that I picked Elliott to win and agreed that Rose Hill fans were just as obnoxious 5 years ago.

Evidently you did not read the post of mine that you are responding to.

Per Dr. Corleone's diagnosis I am still lucid and in touch with reality....because I DO NOT believe that it will be a 30 point win, and I DO NOT think Elliott is the best 16th region team ever.

 

If I remember the initial thread it asked the question "Is Elliott the best 16th region team ever?" It was a question, not a statement. I don't remember anybody rationally defending Elliott as the BEST EVER.

 

Also, someone with a little common sense would realize Ms. Liberty ALWAYS goes with a 32 point win for Elliott. One should realize that she is partial to that number for some reason. She generally laughs at her perdictions as well.

 

It does not matter what the fans, parents, cheerleaders, etc think about Elliott's chances against Rose Hill. The Elliott players know they have to bring their "A" game to defeat the Hill. THat's all that matters. The rest of us can do NOTHING to change the outcome of game.

Yes I have seen Elliott play this year. You may not have said "sub-par", but you did say "It is hard to shoot if you don't get the ball up the floor." Guards are usually the players that bring the ball up the floor, that is the reason for my post along with the fact that you made this comment without even seeing the team you were talking about. I don't care what your opinion is about any team, but don't be shocked when it is challenged.
