i think elliot by at least 25

 

Is there any truth to the rumor that the US Olympic Committe has asked Elliott Co. to represent the USA in the upcoming summer olympics?

I really think this game will be very close. IMO no way Elliott Co wins by 25 or 30.

Some people overestimate thier team's ability...yes. Every team has supporters that wear blinders. However sometimes there are detractors that do the same. In my OPINION --that's you.

 

You ridicule Elliott supporters for exaggerating thier team's potential ... and then you turn around and exaggerate on a grander scale.

 

In my opinion Elliott wins over RH by 15, PLEASE don't read more into my post than that. Just because I think they will win doesn't mean that I think the USOC will be drooling, doesn't mean that I think Rick P. may leave Louisville to coach them, and it DOES NOT mean that I think they cannot be beaten by a 16th region team.

 

What it does mean is ... I think they will beat RH.

WOW! First someone starts a thread asking if Elliott Co. is the best 16th region team ever, then all of their fans are picking them by 25 plus points and now all of their starters are D-1. I say cancel the rest of the season because no one can beat them.

 

Plus who would want to, if Elliott does blow through the region Jonestown won't hold a candle to Sandy Hook.

I apologize if you misunderstood my post. I was responding to Jed's statement (below) that half the starters for Rose Hill are being scouted by D1 teams. These young Elliott County players are also being watched and contacted by area D1 teams as well.

 

As Elliott County parents and supporters were are very excited and proud of these fine individuals and in most cases watched them grow and mature since they started school. PLEASE don't make such negative corrolations (Jonestown was a horrible incident) against these fine young men. Let them do what they love to do, don't criticize them for being good at it.

 

For GoRadio to make a prediction and reference the sub-par guard play of Rose Hill, while all along saying he has not seen them does not make sense. He said, "from what I have heard about them." When I mentioned D1 I am referring to Division 1. Division 1 is a term used by people when speaking of NCAA, National Collegiate Athletic Association, member schools. There are multiple divisions in the NCAA. Division 1 schools are generally the larger schools and are able to give full athletic scholarships to students, along with division 2 schools. Half of the starting guards on Rose Hill, the team GoRadio referenced to, is currently being watched by several division 1 schools who are interested in one day having him come to their school and playing basketball in exchange for a scholarship giving him a quality college education.

 

The reference to Ms Liberty was made because she, I am using the female personal pronoun because this poster has referred to themselves as a woman in the past, is known on this board as an ardent supporter of Elliott Co. and their basketball program.

 

In summation, I was saying GoRadio's statement of "from what I have heard about them", may have come from a person who is also an ardent supporter of Elliott Co. basketball, which as we all know is the opponent of Rose Hill this Monday night.

 

I hope this explanation is sufficient, if not I will try to break it down further.

Elliott is a borderline top 10 team in the state, best team in Eastern Kentucky and maybe one of the better teams to come out of the 16th region. With that said, they have lost a game this year, I think they even lost a few games last year and chances are they are going to lose a game or two next year.

 

Rose Hill is facing a darn good team, but they aren't facing an NBA all star team for goodness sakes. :lol:

I'm not criticising the players at all, I think they are the best team in the region. What they have accomplished has been very impressive but you have to admit that the Elliott fans appear to be unfamiliar with success or how to handle it.

I'm a fan of high school basketball here in Kentucky. I have my favorite teams, but I respect anyone and everyone who laces them up regardless of their win/loss record.

 

With that said, I just don't like how a majority of people have just handed this one over to Elliott. Thankfully this will be decided on the court and if Elliott wins, I will say congrats to them and wish them the best in the 16th All A final. If Rose Hill wins I will have all my stuff packed because I know heck has just frozen over. :lol:

Hey...that's a no brainer. We are unfamiliar with success...we've never had it before. It's new to us--I remember a very few years ago a 6 win season.

 

 

BUT... Elliott knows they are beatable.

 

I am glad we are having success though. Just bear with us. Those of you who want Elliott posters, teams, and fans to go away will have your wish soon enough. It's cyclical. You can laugh again when we suffer through single digit win seasons, 60 points losses, and and the status quo returns to the 16th. Then everything will be right with the world again.

 

Rose Hill does scare me tomorrow night though. As we have not played them in several seasons. I know many people don't like the Elliott posters because we pick our team to win. I have to do the unpopular and unrealistic thing and pick an Elliott win by 15.
