Pet Peeves...While Driving

Featured Replies

The GREAT law passed by the state of Oklahoma leads me to ask this...What is your biggest pet peev that annoys you about other drivers?

Mine is an easy one. You pull up to a turn only lane and there is a red arrow and a car waiting. The car is pulled up IN FRONT OF THE HUGE, THICK, WHITE LINE and is not sitting on the trigger for the light. So, of course, as you pull up (too late to activate the trigger, THIS time around) the arrow does NOT change. You see the people at the wheel with their hands up in the air wondering why they stupid light won't change...sometimes they'll even run the red light because it must not be working. :madman:

When you are behind very slow traffic and you can't pass because some jerk is in the passing lane going slow and right beside you. You can now go 70, but, you are stuck going 60 because you are in the middle of a rolling road block....then, when you can finally pass because the jerk finally got over, you find that there is no other traffic except for you and these two other vehicles...so, you went 60 for more than an hour, just to find that there was no reason at all for it.

Left lane drivers are a big cause of road rage...I was reading my sons drivers book and it clearly says the left lane is for passing...It is Illegal to remain in the left lane...

IMO Left lane Road pigs are the worst...:fight:

I have 2..

1..Failure to give a turn signal

2. Someone who breaks their neck to pull out in front of me at an intersection, then drives 20 MPH.

2 foot drivers so when you are following them, there brake lights are constantly on and they are accelerating! Another one is cars who slow to 10mph and then decide to get in the turn lane in the middle instead of getting in the turn lane and then slowing down.

I'll bet he/she was talking on cell phone also.

Tailgaters.

People who don't maintain their automobiles. Just nothing like getting behind a junker burning oil and you can't get away from it.

People who don't wait their turn at 4 or 2-way stops.

When someone doesn't use turn signals. I guess they think they're just pretty lights.

that is my #1 when it comes to driving. If I have to hit my breaks for someone pulling out in front of me it drives me nuts

And then turns off at the next opportunity...

Which I guess is a good thing, but you wonder why they were risking their necks and yours by jumping out in front of you in the first place.

People who pass you, and then pull off less than a mile ahead.

People that go 45mph in a 55, then when a passing lane comes up, they speed up to 65 so you can't pass them without going 75. Then if you can't pass them, they slow down to 45 again.

When you slow down to stop as a light turns yellow and the car next to you speeds up to make the light and runs a red one . I seen at least three accidents at intersections because of this . Also people who won't stop and turn left at a red light when its a left turn from a one way street to another one way street , and when you are going 70 on the expressway and leave room between you and the car in front and someone just has to get in between you and the other car when there is no one behind you and it would have been safer to merge behind .

So how often have you been behind me, anyways?:D

I can't stand when trucks pull into the center and left lanes going up a big hill. They start in the right hand lane but pull into the center lane to pass another truck that is about 2mph's slower. It takes them the entire hill to pass and they bottle neck the expressway. Even worse is getting stuck behind a truck that is going 45 in the center lane, and everyone is passing on both sides and you can't get out from behind him.
