Excellent point...I cannot believe that, say EJ Fields did not make the list.

I'm told that Fields was nominated as a QB and not as a DB ... an injustice to the kid.

Heck, Kebbie Scott of Bardstown set a national record for KO returns in a season (7) to go with the 1600 yards and 20+ scores he got rushing and he can't find a spot somewhere?

Belfrey was well represented.

There were some glaring omissions...but don't let that take away from the shine of the honor for those that got recognized. If you made ANY of the teams (AP/C-J/BGP/etc) You have the right to call yourself ALL-STATE. Well done to all that earned this honor!...and also to those that didn't earn the honor...the true honor was the ability to play at all!

 

Well said Louie! It's an honor to be named to the AP team as well as to any other media team! It was an exciting year for Kentucky football and I thank all the athletes that participated this year... 2007 will be a tough year to top for excitement and calibre of play. :thumb:

The AP teams (and rankings for that matter) have become a joke.

There was no mention of Matt Smith or Nick Heuser anywhere on this AP team, but congratulations to both James Carpenter and Conner Hale who were named to the 1st Team Defense. This just goes to show the great depth St. X. had on their super defense this year. :thumb:
