January 9, 200818 yr Illinois Going from 2 wins to the Rose Bowl has to rate as a surprise team. I'd have to add them to the list. Forgot about them because of their showing in the Rose Bowl, but just to get there was quite an accomplishment.

January 13, 200818 yr As far as bowl games bust: the MAC...0-3, gave up 51, 52, and 63! And coming into the Bowl season those teams and Nevada are the only Bowl teams that the Big 10 teams defeated out of conference all season! :scared:

January 14, 200818 yr I wouldn't put UConn on the surprise list... they got LUCKY on more than one occasion, but they weren't especially good.
