I know this is just you opinion, but I think it is unfair to name a top 10 without having seen them all play.

I've seen almost every kid mentioned in this thread play, most of them several or many times.

Ben Watson, So. starter for the currently ranked #3 Birds of Highlands, deserves to be included. His upside is tremendous!

No knock on any of your choices, but I may be biased, but Dayton has a young man by the name of Eastin that I would put right up there with the best of 'em........and I won't buy the "he's only small school DIII" argument before anyone offers it:thumb:

I agree. It's not just his skills that make him a great player. This kid knows the game of basketball and always plays with a ton of heart! He is a playmaker and makes the players around him better.

You may be right, but I'm basing my opinion more on how the sophs currently play compared to their competition and peers, not on their upside.

He is one that I haven't seen. Does he play point guard? How big? Did he play AAU ball?

He runs probably somewhere between 6' and 6'2'', and when I have seen him he has usually been playing either the 2 or 3, but has brought the ball up the court a few times. He can play bigger than his size because of his leaping ability. Might a little more, but Dayton has a 3 year starter at PG who is a traditional pass first guy that Eastin has benefitted from.

 

I am fairly sure that he did play AAU ball, but I'm not quite sure who with. Seems like maybe a couple of Newport guys maybe? I'm not sure, but just remember I had a short conversation with him early last summer when he told me about a tournament in Louisville they were going to that weekend. Also know that in the summer a lot of those sophmores from Dayton and a couple of younger guys played a lot out at Mt. Zion SOAS. Don't know if it was actual AAU or what, but I know they played out there.
