LCA 58 Rose Hill 53

Featured Replies

I read the stats and I saw that Euton had 29 and Jackson had 20. RH had a total of 53 points. I think that I am pretty good at math so that means the other players on the team had a combined 4 points. WOW....

This sounds like it was a very good basketball game. Sounds like Rose Hill is coming around, LCA from what all I understand has a pretty good basketball team.

Rose Hill imo will be ready come tournament time.

RH has 2 good players, then a lot of other players that could not start on any other team in the 16th Region (not even Boyd, Russell, or Greenup). No offense to those players, they are playing hard and to the best of their potential. I dont see Euton and Jackson sticking around to play at RH with no other support.

Euton is too young to start judging his ability as everyone has started doing, mainly because he verbally committed to UK. He has size and that is hard to teach a player. Euton will do fine, as well as Jackson, but they need to move on to a larger city with a stable TEAM. I also believe they need some intense coaching as well. That is no offense to Fraley as well, because he stepped in there and took the RH job, when know one wanted it. He deserves to have some good players after all he has been thru, but I dont believe he is the man to lead these 2 players to the next level.

BTW, a team with only 2 players will not compete at a high level in any tournament, no matter how good they are.

Great job Trace, he is a fantastic point guard that probably doesnt get the full credit he deserves sometimes. As for RH and their stars, I am wondering if Billy Clyde didnt jump the gun on Euton, I mean does he really look like he has the ability to play next to the likes of Patterson some day and actually contribute at Kentucky?[/quote

I think that Dakota will do just fine at the next level. He is only a sophomore and with his work ethic will only improve. There is no way you can compare him to a Patterson today. But when he matures more then lets see what he will do.

I also agree that Euton will do fine at the next level.:thumb:

I can see what you are trying to say here and can see your point.

I just wish that everyone would stay away from critisizing Euton's every move, the kid is only a Soph., he obviously has a lot of talent and even more potential or he wouldn't have been drawing th attention from U.K. and others that he has. I think that a lot of the comments critisizing him are that "some" fans that dislike RH so much that they will cut a h.s. kid down bc of it. Should someone disliike RH and tne way things are done or not done that is one thing, deal with those ones that have something to do with that but please do not analyze or critique/critisize a "kids" and only a Sophomore's at that every move.

As for having only two players and the rest aren't that good, don't you think that the others could and will get better come tourney time. I think that they could ;).

I am not a RH fan and don't have a "dog in the fight" so to speak, just talking as a h.s.sports fan and 16th region fan in general.

Trust me, I dont have a dog in this fight either, and definetly respect your opinion:thumb:

I just dont think the other players will get enough touches to get any better, plus there seems to be no consistency in the lineups either. I hope to see them do better, because it will only help Euton and Jackson's chances at the next level.

IMO, RH is going to have to get some consistency around them to compete in these tournaments, or there is no sense in playing in them.

One would expect some improvement. And maybe I'm imagining things, but I thought that the RH 7th or 8th graders won a state championship last year. If that's the case, where do they fit into the equation? Are they 8th and 9th graders this year? Are they good enough to play for the Rose Hill varsity?

LOL...The kid is 15. And people wondering if he can play at the next level, thats funny.

If college Coaches didn't think a kid could play, then they wouldn't offer. He is good now, and will only get better.

Euton while I understand is only 15 can't create on his own, which is going to hurt, no longer are role players playing division 1 basketball. He wont be able to stand and shoot and he wont be able to score over SEC posts, he is simply a glorified Jared Carter. IMO

RH's 7th grade team won the state championship, I believe that the Varsity Assistants (and I believe he also coachs MS) son was MVP. They have a solid group of young ones coming up!

I watched them play JV against Fairview and they are pretty impressive.

I figured that would be posted next.

Only time will tell.

I watched most of the game on t.v. and wasn't really impressed either way. LCA seemed to have a little better gameplan, but other than that, it was just another low-scoring high school game. The game was won in the opening few minutes when it was 11-1. I do believe that Euton walked a mile on the last play when they called a walk. It looked like he skipped or jumped in between a double team and then shot. Best wishes to both teams.

I just said what I heard. and NO !

Ms Liberty...who is in the pic of your avatar.....They look mad:madman:
