It doesnt matter what you are ranked in High School. To be a good player at the next level you must continue to get better. Tubby did not develop players, they were good when they came to UK but they never did improve. Example 1. Randolph Morris could have been a lottery pick out of high school. After a career at UK he went undrafted. 2. Jared Carter is no better now than the first time he entered Rupp arena. 3. Bradley and Crawford would be lucky to come off the bench for a UNC or Memphis. If player stay 4 years and there are no improvement you must look at the coaching staff.

Except there is talent at 4 of 5 positions on the floor. UK lacks a post presence outside Patterson, and I'm aware of that fact as I was pointing it out months ago...

 

 

That is where we disagree. The 3 spot(Crawford) was talented on paper as a Fresh., he has not improved nor is he a 3 in my book and I would not have recruited him for that position. He is a 2 and every sense of the word.

 

I feel we are talented in 3-5 and maybe 2 deep at the 2. Everywhere else we are 1 deep or 0 deep.

Really? Because I thought for sure that players like Eric Daniels, Gerald Fitch, Chuck Hayes, Maquis Estill, Cliff Hawkins, Bobby Perry, Azuibuike, also sorry to tell you but Randolph Morris got ten times better from his freshman year to last year. If he was eligible to be in the draft again, he for sure would have been drafted. Im pretty sure I probably missing a few more that definitely got better under Tubby Smith. Then you also have players in Prince and Bogans who came in good and known as offensive players, and they came out as better overall ball players after their senior seasons, and is why they are still in the NBA and doing good. There are more players than not who have gotten better under Tubby. The whole he can't develop players thing is wrong. Its just shows how people only remember recently with the class of Orbzut, Shag, and Thomas, and then just the overrated player in Crawford and think just because of those guys not getting much better that Tubby couldn't develop players, and that is not true at all. Actually Tubby's best team in 2003 was a team pretty much full of all players Tubby developed....
