January 8, 200818 yr This roster at UK does have High rated talent. But that does not always equate with High rated performance. Just in UK history that is obvious. Another famous Hatz stroll down memory lane. In 1978 Dwight Anderson of Dayton was the High School Player of the Year. Clarance Tillman was a McDonald's as was Chuck Verderber. Anderson showed flashes in his frosh year but didn't improve much the rest of his career at UK and USC. Tillman never showed anything at UK or Rutgers. Verderber was a blue collar guy but never one that "won" a game for KY. In '83 UK had two top Freshmen. Kenny Walker and Todd May. May left the team halfway through his freshman season to star at Pikeville. He never showed the hint of greatness at UK that Walker did. I think talent is rated well by Rivals but for whatever reason: coaching, real talent, whatever; many players level off, plateau or just bust when the level of competition goes up.
