Listerman, Hicks, Alan Hatcher, Jeff Jackson, the young man at Jefferstown, O'Hearn, Wright, Mccoy at UHA.

 

But how about Dale Mabry at PRP?

Humphries.. sp? GRC.

I believe Hicks is the best with Listerman, Humphries, Holland, Runyon, and Riley all being great coaches.

How about a top three from each region? Far too many quality coaches in the Bluegrass state IMO. Trying to pick the best would be very difficult. I suppose if I could hire a coach my first phone call would go to Billy Hicks of Scott County though.

 

From my end of the state.

 

12th region: Woods, Thacker and Jackson

13th region: Wright, Pietroski,Spurlock

14th region: Holland,Hatcher,

Alan Hatcher.

 

I understand he didn't to do much coaching while he was at a tournament in Lexington. Do you know anything about this? I just heard about it while I was in Nashville.

Scott Humphrey at GRC has done a good job with his young team this year.

I think he was ejected from a game and had to sit out the next game.

No doubt a great coach---with the aid of Toyota.

Did they move the Toyota plant from Corbin, and Harlan. Or could it be he is a great high school coach. I think most most of us know by now Toyota has been there twenty years and at the most maybe one kids parents work at Toyota every year is on the team. Almost all the kids have started in the grade schools there. Give it a break.

I love how we put coaches in the "great coach" category without seeing them coach a team to anything. Listerman has never had to win without talent. I think to be a "great coach" you need to be able to win with a team no one expects to be good and if you have a good team you need to win state at least once.

Runyon at Paintsville has done alot at a class A school

I was thinking of him too. He always competes.

I also like Dinky Phipps at Barbourville. That school probably doesn't have 200 students, but his teams are always well prepared and dangerous. I would love to see what he could do at a school with a large enrollment.

I would not say CovCath has more talent then a lot of the teams they beat. I don't believe they are more talented than LexCath. Listerman is a great coach.

He is a good one, but he needs to have success with another group before being thrown in with Mabrey, Lusterman, Hatcher and others.
