Best Player in the NBA

Okay, but you forgot one important stat...Kobe 3 rings and Paul zero.

Pretty sure that's an unfair arguement in favor of Kobe seeing as he's been in the league four times longer than Paul...Nevertheless, Kobe is the best.

Does anyone read posts before they bash an arguement? Read all the posts, don't take one comment out of context and talk about it in a negative light. It was a fair post. :sssh:

In case you haven't noticed, I haven't been on the boards in a while, therefore I haven't been able to read. Don't get an attitude when someone questions your judgment, or you're time here at BGP will be short and not enjoyable. :sssh:

Nah. I already know that I'm right, so what's the point. :p;)

Look, for all I care, you can just avoid all my posts...don't question someone's arguements with an unfounded point and then question their response.

In the few posts you've made since you've been here, you've made that 100% impossible...

Great players find a way to win and hold a lead. Kobe took bad shots to start the third which got the Spurs some easy shots to start on their run. Just saying...

 This is really your argument?

No kidding. The most clutch player in the NBA can't hold a lead.

I'm only posting this in here because I know people will read it. If I put it in the NBA forum, nobody would probably read it.

- Chris Webber & Gary Payton could end up playing for the Warriors.

- The Nets are talking about acquiring Andres Nocioni and Thabo Sefolosha from the Bulls for a group of second-tier players such as Marcus Williams, Antoine Wright, Bostjan Nachbar and Jamaal Magloire.

Why would the nets acquire two more wing players, give up on Marcus Williams, and their spark off the bench in Nachbar. I cant see that happening. Nachbar and Thabo are a wash IMO, and the other three for Nocioni would seem to make this a bad deal for the Nets unless something is happening with contracts and money. Maybe the Bulls would include a pick or two.

You are just saying he had a bad night, correct? I hope you are not rying to extrapolate that night into a career and make an arguement against Kobe. He has held a LOT more leads than he has lost. (The best wing player EVER!!!)

Best wing player ever is a ridiculous statement. If he retired tomorrow, he would be better than MJ? No way.

I dont think I would roll my eyes. He didnt hold this lead.

A few months back, ESPN ran an article claiming Kobe is a better player than Michael Jordan. I snickered at the thought, then I had a buddy tell me the same thing.

Then he asked me this question; "Is there a shot that Mike could hit that Kobe couldn't?" I thought to myself and answered "no".

The follow-up, "Is Mike the threat from 3 that Kobe is?" I answered no.

Defensively, they are great, offensively, Kobe is more complete (I know how blasphemous this sounds).

Mike has rings, but Kobe has some tough competition to win these days and has his 3 (would Mike honestly win six in this era?).

I have come around on that thinking and we can argue it, but Kobe is better and more complete a ball player IMO. Look at it objectively and not with the "hero worship" that we have having grown up watching Mike wag his tongue and shoot free throws with his eyes closed. Simply tell me what Mike did better than Kobe as an individual player.

I dont think I would roll my eyes. He didnt hold this lead.

He's held his fair share...even Mike blew a few in his day.
