Just think about how wing play has evolved and the overall talent and athleticism of today's wing players versus guys from MJ's era. If you honestly think MJ played against better talent, then we can agree to disagree. :thumb: This really can't be answered. While it is obvious that today's player is longer, and seemingly more athletic, more NBA players tended to play defense from '83 - '98, and they were much more fundamentally sound in general.

He made that jump to second best player on the team ahead of Lamar Odom pretty quickly. :lol: So then tell me how do the Lakers "dominate" the Cavs with Bynum? How about if the Cavs have Varejao for the whole game they end up "dominating" the Lakers?

Luke Walton should have been ready for the catch and shoot, but he wasn't, he was timid, passed back to Kobe, and they didn't get a shot off. On the other hand, Kobe, that is your shot to take, you go get it. On the other end, the Cavs possesion prior, LeBron was isoed on Kobe. Gooden came to set a screen and play the two man game, but LeBron told him to move out and took control and made his own shot because thats what big players do, they create and make big shots in big situations. It seems to me that Kobe almost worries too much now about his label as a selfish player and just can't distinguish when it is appropriate for him to be selfish and when it isn't.
January 28, 200818 yr Bynum definately makes a difference in any game right now. He was trade bait because he was 18 and 19 in his first two NBA seasons and didn't produce much. Not too many guys do. He is maturing and has become a contributor.

January 28, 200818 yr I will say this Bron Bron is coming around on his clutch shooting. That was a big basket he hit. I questioned it as soon as he did it with the fadeaway jumper because I thought he was going to go to the rim with a drive, but now that I think about it, he probably wasn't going to get a good look from much farther inside because Kobe was going to be blanketed on him... He had to fade because that is the only way he was going to get any separation from Kobe...
