Start? His career is at least half over.

By start, I was referring to:since the Reds traded him. Guess you didn't pick up on that.:eyeonyou:

Hamilton lovers please take note of the age.

I do like Hamilton a lot. He is awesome talented. But production means more to me than promise.

So let me ask you, if you had to do the trade all over again would you like to see it done?

Alonzo is hitting .284 in his first full season so far with 0 HR.

Votto is .293 with 2 HR.

Alonzo in Left Field looks better to me than what we have.

Exactly, Walt is a genius!

2 100 RBI seasons out of 6 years and 4 years of injuries aren't even remotely close to approaching legend status. He is 31 this year I doubt his numbers are going to get much better. He would need 10 straight years of 40 HR and 120 RBI to even be close. Considering he has never hit over 35 HR I highly doubt that is happening.

Are you telling me you would rather have Stubbs in center instead of Hamilton?

Would you like to buy Google stock at $100 a share?

Where is the world did I say anything even remotely close to that?

All I can say is thank God you guys aren't making any decisions in the Reds organization. Alonso as a LF'er.

Of course not. There shouldn't be one person who will say yes to that question. I take Hamilton's last four years over Volquez's. But it doesn't work that way does it? The Reds had talented young outfielders, they had more left handed bats than they wanted and they desperately needed a stud starting pitcher. They traded a very talented risky propsect outfielder for a very talented risky prospect pitcher (who was 3 years younger). Both players have been all stars. That is the perspective you need to have.

Until he actually has to play in left field ...
Voloquez was penciled in as the 5th starter for TX, Hamilton is now their starting CF. Time will tell how this works out.

Nice trade Texas...
