Add in that you then have to play a conference championship game , one more against a Top 10 opponent, and its not very hard to understand which conference is harder to win.

The hiring of Ron Zook at Illinois and now Rich Rodriguez at Michigan is the beginning of a big change in the Big Ten Conference. Speed, speed, speed. Spread, spread, spread.

 

It is about time and it is beginning to happen as we speak. The day of big, slow football teams in the Big Ten is fading.

 

I feel like there is a bad misconception about the speed at places such as Ohio St. and Michigan, they have as much or more speed than 98% of all the Div-1 teams.

The Big ten really does have a conference championship it is called OSU Mich which by the way is played at the end of the year for a reason. In all honesty it would be better for both teams to play earlier on, however the Big Ten stands for tradition and it will always be played last.

Last year the Big Ten# 3 Wisconson beat the SEC Runner-up , Penn St. Big Ten#4 beat Tennessee ( In all honesty do not remeber where they finished) And I will end on this: All I hear is complaints about how tough an SEC championship game is for these teams. If it was not for this game that you guys complain about you would have been shut out of the NC last year, and this year. I would say that is a bonus not a hinder.

Actually read some posts and you will have the answer to your questions. But then again nobody wants to hear facts against the almighty and they won't read them.13-13 not as poor as you thought, but then again the SEC is not as good as you think. I am not saying it is bad because that is simply not true, it is just not as good as most think!
