Rodriguez informed his players in a meeting today that he would be leaving WVU to coach at Michigan.

I have no idea, but I would much rather be at W. VA then Michigan..

I think he looks at the combination of the UM prestige and resources with his style of offense and sees a great opportunity to take over a conference that is big in name but not deep in talent.

He won't be able to compete with the Buckeyes, and Illinois next season. Also IU could be a big threat if Hardy comes back, Iowa will be strong as always next season and Penn State too. I don't understand why he came to UM, but it's just another coach for Tress to beat up on. Like I said earlier, I would much rather be at West Virginia then Michigan..

Not a good hire in my opinion.

How long will it take to get a QB to fit his system. Personnel wise this hire is the opposite end of the spectrum from what Michigan has and what Rodriguez does.

Michigan has raped WVU of their basketball and football coach in consecutive years!

WVU must have really not owned up to their end of the deal when he agreed to come back last season and not take the Bama job. They (as I understood it anyway) had promised facility improvements amoung other issues. Michigan is obviously a rival of my Buckeyes but they have got a good coach and he is at a place that has as much and more tradition as anyone.:thumb:

 

(as a Buckeye fan I was really wishing that they would have given Carr a lifetime contract though )

I think the Pitt loss just broke his heart so bad a change may be good for him.
