I just saw this on the WCHS new out of Charleston, W.Va.. The Govenor (J. Manchin) has now gotten in on the Rod bashing along with their school officials and fans....................

One comment from a person (fan) interviewed at the school said that they had really heard this before the Pitt game, the players had also gotten wind of it and didn't play hard bc of it. Take that for what it is worth, I don't know about that one. Probably just a very ticked off fan.

I think you make a good point, however, I don't think that this will hurt him as I believe that many more kids would consider Michigan than would West Virginia. I think that he will find recruiting easier in Ann Arbor.

I agree. Look at the last 5 WVU recruiting classes. Not much to write home about in terms of rankings when signed. He did a great job of developing players in his system once they got on campus. In theory it should be easier with a wider recruiting net...

It also should be noted he wants to go to a football and bball school. He will play both sports. Thad and Vest attended a few of his high school games together.

I do not doubt that at all , I have watched their fans at various WVU games on t.v., lets just say they leave a lot to be desired (that was mostly the students I believe). The WVU/Va. Tech rivalry - seried before they stopped played a couple of years ago was brutal. (on the part of the fans)

GT (or anyone), do you think that Huggins now at WVU and "getting what he wants when he wants it" had a lot to do with this. That may not be the case but was just a impression that I got.

Also, I would say that the Admin. maybe had failed to do some of the things they had promised him. These things and imo a move to a traditional power, of course - although they have been down a few years Bama is a traditional power and he ended up staying at WVU.

That is what leads me to believe that maybe the Admin. lied to him on promises or Huggins rules or both and he knows it.

Would you SEC lovers please give us a break. You are not nearly as good as you think you are. Let me remind you 19-5-1 all time against the all mighty SEC. In it's last seven bowl games against the so called greatest conference of all time, 5-2. It is because of this overrated conference we had to deal with Lloyd for the past 8 years. He owned you! How bad is that. LLoyd Carr owned the SEC!!!!

Not a good hire in my opinion.

How long will it take to get a QB to fit his system. Personnel wise this hire is the opposite end of the spectrum from what Michigan has and what Rodriguez does.

Wonder how the Michigan faithful are taking this?

I'll have to agree this is a good hire for Michigan. Like has already been said if he could recruit at WV then he shouldn't have any problem at Michigan. Rod is who I was hoping UK would go after when they hired Brooks.

Good hire for Michigan, time will tell how good, but on paper it looks very good.
