After tonight, I have no respect for Mark Krebs

That kind of behavior has always bothered me. Like someone else posted - isn't this college? Its dumb enough in high school, but come on...

Sounds to me like one group needs to go on Dr. Phil, but I'm not sure which group it would be. The bully group or the ones who are so bent out of shape over a small dumb comment.

The guy sounds like a jerk. Glad he doesn't get to see the court. They should have replied with "Can you get me some water?"

Either that or something along the line of

"Do you pull the splinters out of your backside from sitting on the end of the bench after each game or do you just wait and do it all at once at the end of the season"

or

"Hey...aren't you the guy that the managers NEVER have to worry about washing your uniform after games."

Hey Now!!! When riding the bench at UK is the acme of your lifes accomplishments, you need to cut some slack. It's all down hill from here.

Na, moves like that are why people think 95% of athletes are low class jerks.

So people can walk around acting like juvenile clowns, and everyone else is the one with the problem?

Sometimes, when you let it all build up inside, you have to take it out on others to make yourself feel better. Krebs is the perfect example. Picture this...

You're sitting on the end of the bench, watching your team get blown out by Gardner Webb, North Carolina, and Indiana. You go and get water for Bill Keightley occasionally. You look up, see the waxing your team is taking, understand you're on one of the worst UK teams in a long while, and realize you're still not going to play. That's when it hits you. He has to vent on someone. Poor Krebs.

I can't believe a "jock" would make fun of a non-athlete! I never heard of such a thing before! It happens all too often. As someone who didn't play sports and am just a fan I never understood why atheltes, ESPECIALLY in high school, feel the need to pick on other kids or why they believed they were better than everyone else. Unfortunately I saw it happen all too often at my little high school and even a Coach behave in this manner. Really sad.

Glad to see our walk-ons are "all class."

So if I came up and called you a girl and laughed in your face about it, you mean to tell me not one little iota of emotion will come over you? You musta been the bully in your class, huh?

Honestly, I don't even know who Krebs is and I watch every game....

I just don't see why we are talking about this one the college basketball thread. We are here to discuss the sports side of things, we're not worried about these players personalities. We all know how athletes are, I just look over things like this. I say take this to the General Discussion thread. I'm also surprised a moderator hasn't locked this thread. Even though Krebs did do this, there's no reason to sit and talk bad about him, like you people have never made a joke of someone.

Me either...I had no idea that UK had a player named Mark Krebs...

I doubt that the girls he asked to sit by even knew who he was. But, they probably knew the legendary Mark Coury and Jared Carter. :D

As a University of Kentucky Basketball player he, whether he wants to or not, represents his school and the program. As such he should be expected to behave in a manner that brings class and dignity to who he represents. You know why? Because of threads like this. If this had been Joe Q. Student this thread would have never happened. The public eye is on a UK Basketball player and he should know better.

Now because of his comment this situation is out in the public. Someday those guys are going to be employers, I would assume Krebs does not have a future in Pro Basketball. Don't think people don't remember who treated them badly. I doubt they'll tip him when he parks their Ferrari's in a few years at the Hyatt. :D

So if this was such a cruel thing why didn't you "Stand up for waht was right" when it happened? Instead you have to write something on the internet. I think that's as childish as what Krebs allegedly did.

Your right this thread won't last long.
