After tonight, I have no respect for Mark Krebs

Featured Replies

To be honest, if someone called me a girl to my face I'd probably laugh at them... That sounds like something my little grade school brother would say.

Honestly, it isn't really that big of a deal, and if he were going to make fun of someone, you'd think he would get a little more creative than just calling someone a girl. It was more the intention of Krebs that seems questionable. I'd comment on some of the other things I've heard about him doing/saying, but I wasn't there to see them first hand and cannot vouch for their truth.

I think that there wasn't an immediate comment to Krebs simply because he/we gave him the benefit of the doubt that he knew the kids... sure enough, he didn't.

I'm not really torn up about it, but I do think that Krebs should know better, and if he doesn't know better then he should come up with funnier commentary.

Mark Krebs graduated from Newport Catholic. I believe he was recruited by some D1 schools but went to Thomas More College because his mother was very ill with breast cancer and he wanted to be close to her. He has sacrificed his personal goals in life to be close to his family. Give the kid a break, don’t let this define the young man.

My advice to you let it go. He is classless. He thinks because he is an athlete he can pull that stuff. Rise above!!

The real shock here is that you saw Krebs and recognized him.

Why should this thread be closed, moved maybe. I don't think Krebs even dresses does he ?

I was under the impression that he has been injured, but I might've been thinking of someone else. That might've been Benson that didn't play at Big Blue Madness.

I agree.

I'm clueless...is he black? white? tall? short? bulky? skinny?

That doesn't excuse him for being a complete jerk every time I've been around him....

He's white, about 6'4". He's a shooter, and that's about it. From NCC, would be his 3rd year of college I believe.

During early workouts he was helping the trainer run things and helping with film work. I'm not even sure he practices. I'm a little surprised about his comment, because he's been nothing but respectful to me everytime I've run into him. Of course I'm an old man.

I'm surprised this thread has received this much attention. Most athletes, not all, but most feel like that they should be known or recognized and carry themselves to be above others.

I don't think this is how we should judge him or anyone else associated with the program. He may just have been showing off in front of his friends.

I've had the same experiences with him...

It is not the end of the world, and maybe he didn't mean any harm, which I doubt, but you should treat another human being with the same amount of respect as you would want to be treated with.

There were never any name calling incidents under Orlando "Tubby" Smith!

Come on SOMEONE had to say it!
