I think it's funny. Funny because if it was anyone else we would have never heard a word about it. Since he is on the basketball team he is not allowed to do anything wrong or else he is the worlds biggest jerk. Come on people it's college not the white house. I am sure over 1,000 things way more rude than that happened that day, in Lexington, by UK students. Give me a break.

 

I dont think that this situation is that big of a deal. But you have to realize, he is going to be held on a different level. Fair or unfair its going to happen. He is representing the college, regular students at UK are not.

For the record, I was never really a fan of Krebs when we played against NCC.

Not really. The majority of the people from NewCath graduated before 2001 and really don't know Markie all that well. I believe that the NewCath people on here are defensive on this thread for 2 reasons. A) This has gotten blown way out of proportion. B) The people who do know Markie and his family agree that he is a very good kid. If this is the worst thing that Markie ever does, he's lead a great life. However, I do not agree with calling out kids like that, and I would not have done it myself. Like I said, life has a funny way of working itself out. I'm sure Markie's dad, who has very strong ties in the NKY sports community, will catch wind of this. Once that happens, I promise you, Markie will hear all about it.

However, let's keep this in context. He did not break a law, did not throw a game, he was rude. Let's leave it at that.

Not a big deal at all. He shouldn't have said what he did. He'll figure that out later in life. I've done/said a lot of things that I regret and I'm sure I'll do/say a lot more that I shouldn't.

 

I've called people a lot worse than ladies or whatever he called them. Am I proud of it ? No...but that doesn't make me a classless person. Ive learned from a lot of my mistakes and so will he.
