  1. Any relation to Justin Housley? Started at CCH and (I believe) ended up at Holmes?
  2. The fact that they are arresting him after being rumored to be involved is not surprising, but... If you had ever met the guy while he was in high school then you would find the whole situation completely shocking. He was always a pretty calm guy who didn't seem to get into it with anyone.
  3. I'm with Mexitucky. I'm glad that they let the kid play. I wasn't there to see what happened with the technical, but I think that they got this one right. It is the state championship game, he didn't get into a fight, he probably just reacted on instinct, and didn't make it very far anyway. Holmes should have nothing to complain about. Also, If I was a player for Holmes, then I would have wanted to beat Mason at full strength. Congrats to the Royals.
  4. UK has replaced Temple on their football schedule with the Toppers. September 27.
  5. Anyone know what time Senior Day festivities start?
  6. 1) It's a fact that UK would be playing at Memorial Coliseum for the NIT. 2) Only the UK game would be played there.
  7. I'll be sure not to take movie recommendations from you. I'm probably a little biased since I like most anything with Will Smith (got me hooked with The Fresh Prince).
  8. I wish I could get rid of this thread, I'm telling myself I'm not looking at it again. What he said isn't a big deal at all (honestly, he called two guys girls) but his intentions weren't admirable at all.
  9. The comments on kentucky sports radio are hilarious, and made me realize even more that this may have been blown out of proportion. Beyond that, I still find his actions unwarranted.
  10. Honestly, it isn't really that big of a deal, and if he were going to make fun of someone, you'd think he would get a little more creative than just calling someone a girl. It was more the intention of Krebs that seems questionable. I'd comment on some of the other things I've heard about him doing/saying, but I wasn't there to see them first hand and cannot vouch for their truth. I think that there wasn't an immediate comment to Krebs simply because he/we gave him the benefit of the doubt that he knew the kids... sure enough, he didn't. I'm not really torn up about it, but I do think that Krebs should know better, and if he doesn't know better then he should come up with funnier commentary.
  11. Him being Krebs, and several others saying that Krebs didn't quite rub them the right way either on separate occasions. It is only a name calling issue, but when it happened, I felt like I had gone back 7-8 years in time when it was assumed we didn't know any better.
  12. After seeing/hearing it first hand, I was pretty upset. The fact that he clearly went out of his way was very irritating. When the two kids said "we are used to it, people say stuff like that to us all the time" probably made me feel just as bad though. I talked to several others about what happened and I found out that this is a fairly common occurrence for him.
  13. The best part about the Jared commercial is at the very end, some weird guy pops up flailing his arms in a very awkward manner. Since my roommates and I have tivo, we replay it over and over... hilarious
  14. I would have liked the game to go down to the wire; since I made the trip from Lexington the weekend before finals. With that being said, I wasn't disappointed with the game at all. This is the second game the I have seen Darius play this year, and he is the real deal. I feel like he plays with a confidence and an awareness similar to Patterson. Many players have the athleticism to be great players, but lack the patience. I'll be excited when he arrives in Lexington. Also, when the rest of MC is knocking down shots, it helps Darius to be selective. In reality though, he looked like he could have taken over whenever he wanted to. CCH is a very solid team, but Mason County was simply too "long" for them. It was very difficult for CCH to have success driving to the basket because of MC's height. MC plays solid team defense and in order for CCH to win the game they would have had to shoot excellent from 3-point line, and draw defenders out. As for the crazies... I absolutely hate that I love to watch them.
  15. I can't wait to get back up to Northern Kentucky, and then back up to Perfect North. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
  16. Would it have been best if Chad had not gotten a 15 yard penalty? Yes Could it have hurt them? Maybe Is it worth talking about for more than a moment or two? Probably not
  17. I don't see the how these two situations are comparable. In one situation, Chad gets a penalty after putting 6 points up on the board (and they later go on to win with the help of his other two tds). In the other, Smith gets a sack (worth no points) and completely erases what he did with the penalty (resulting in a loss). You can’t erase the td with Chad’s celebration. With that being said, I do think that he could find ways to celebrate without getting a penalty. Also, as far as the comments on other players being mad a Chad, Why would they? When I played sports my favorite teammates were usually the ones with the most confidence (and consequently also talked the most).
  18. Nineoh, which one would you consider yourself?
  19. #215 was after my post... I'm ready to see if ppat is the real deal he is being hyped up to be
  20. Seems like you guys are digging pretty hard
  21. His parents wanted to give him space. Close enough to watch, far away enough for him to experience college.
  22. When I listened to that live I didn't really take it how it looks on paper... It seemed to me that he was just listing reasons off
  23. I personally think there should be heavy influence in to how the players perform in the big games. It's true that there are many of us that cannot get out to see all of these players. I don't feel like the stats can be reliable because of the different competition, and also because there is a different statistician for each team (one persons .325 can easily be a .375). People score each game differently, give the edge to the kid who pulls through in the clutch.
  24. Me catching 756 is about as unlikely as me starting over LeBron in game 6. However, I think you're crazy if you don't sell it. All this talk about living comfortably, well how about the comfort of knowing you can support your family for generations to come? Sell it to Bonds or some other high-bidding ego-maniac, but if it were me, I sell it, and hope it doesn't make its way to Cooperstown...
