If we hadn't beaten LCA in a scrimmage, and yes I know they're much improved I would give them a legitament shot at the title. I know LCA throws the ball better than us, so that should open things up a bit offensively. I think the problem LCA will have is stopping Beechwoods offense. They can throw as well as run and you must honor the QB. If they line up in double tight and wishbone I'm afraid it will be a long day for LCA. I just hope to see a competitive well played game. Good luck to both teams and stay injury free. If you can't tell Bechwood made a believer out of me last week. Although we will look forward to working our way back to a rematch next year.

I am probably reading into this statement but are you saying that LCA will be the best team Beechwood has faced all yr?????? If so, you haven't seen much football outside of the LCA stadium.

I hate to break it to you but I looked at your schedule, and you haven't played anyone that runs the air-raid that LCA does. Nobody said they are as good as NCC and CCH. You are also not the best team on LCA schedule.

Folks, let's keep this one civil or it will suffer a similar fate as the last thread and some of you will be outside looking in.

HOMEFIELD ADVANTAGE: Beechwood (as someone pointed out: PJS is a 2nd home to BW!)

 

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE: Beechwood (LCA is working on it)

 

WINNING TRADITION: Beechwood (which LCA hopes to have someday!)

 

BIG GAME EXPERIENCE: Beechwood (slightly)

PROGRAM DIRECTION: LCA. Beechwood may be back up this year, but LCA has made HUGE strides since coach Rains got here (this is his 5th year)

 

COACHING: LCA. No, this is not a knock on coach Rash. But Rains has turned this program around, and has had this team "over-achieving" all year especially at the end of the season. If ANYONE can come up with a plan to overcome an opponent's strengths, and use those strengths against them, it's coach Rains.

 

And THAT is why I am picking LCA to win.

28 Beechwood

:thumb: I also have a ton of respect for both teams. Beechwood is an established tradition and a model for all football programs in the state regardless of classification. LCA is very quickly building a traditiom of their own under Coach P. Rains.

I am as calm as I can be...Of course, I don't have the close "personal" interest in it that most do on this thread and for very obvious reasons. I am a fan of another class A school and just looking foward to this one to see how in plays out. I really believe that LCA can and will get this one. Beechwood is a heavy favorite and should be. I just believe that LCA will pull the upset.

That is why they play the game .Any given day a team can be beat .The best team does not always win .The best prepared and focused team prevails in some situations .

2 - When did you see NCC OR CCH play to compare these .

 

Looking at schedules and results are a bad way to compare .

 

If you think for 1 minute that Beechwood is overlooking LCA you are mistaken !
