November 20, 200718 yr A few years ago a squirrel cause a transformer to blow at the plant were I work. The power was off most of the day! A guy who actually saw what happened said it fell off the power line after a few seconds got up and ran away. Apparently Balco did more than sell stuff to athletes. :lol:

November 21, 200718 yr We had a family of squirrels living in our chimney and the ate through the medal screen and wreck havouc on our house to the tune of over $3,000.00 before we could catch them all. An your insurance will not cover any of the damage since a squirrel is considered part of the rodent (type rat) family. JD This is true. I use to tell my dad, who loved to hunt squirrels and have them as part of his dinner, that they were first cousins to rats. He didn't want to hear that, but it didn't stop him from eating them.
November 21, 200718 yr I remember few years ago, a racoon caused an outage in Maysville along the AA out by the Hospital, fortunatley the hospital had it's own generator.

November 22, 200718 yr We were out of a phone, AGAIN, because of the little critters. They chew our phone lines and the company just uses tape and "fixes" them. It took two weeks for them to get our line back again. I love watching the little critters, especially the white ones, but, they play heck with the phone lines!!!
