81, the word "Moron" is being used too much. I seen your posts in the past where you had to be careful in your comments and I also asked you to quit bashing Bama and even asked you who you pull for, but I don't go that route.

Bug, the man didn't haven't a prepared speech. Some of the questions from the Saban haters are asked just for one thing. I've spoke in front of people before and I've said things that didn't make sense or I wish I could take back. We all have seen Coaches lose it before...remember the Cowboy coach who got on the female reporter a few weks ago.

No matter what the question was or who posed the question, it was moronic to make the comparisons he made. The real catastrophies of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor have NO comparison to sports in any way and trying to make that connection is insensitive and just plain stupid.

I disagree. What's stupid is comparing a game to events that were horrendous and caused the death of thousands of lives. It's a freaking football game for goodness sakes.

He had 2 days to prepare for this conference and this isn't his first rodeo so he can't use inexperience as an excuse. He had to know the type of questions that he would be facing. I'm not going to call Saban a Moron, he just made a very poor choice of an analogy. Sorry to hear about Siran Stacy's family--he was a great player for the Tide.

No it wasn't. Losing a game or games in football is not catastrophic. there is nothing catastrophic about losing a football game ever unless someone is permently injured or worse during the game. I don't care one way or another about Alabma or Nick Saban, but it's complete nonsense for anyone to suggest that losing football games is "catastrophic."

I just read about this on KSR. Very sad and example of something truly catastrophic, much more so than a football game. Prayers go out to the Stacy family and to you Alabama Larry.

Joe, I can take bashing Bama, boy I've heard it over the years, its the name calling I don't want to see. I lose all kinds of respect of people when they have to explain their thoughts by stooping to that level. Bash Saban and I'll understand I've Bash him a few times lately myself. If someone doesn't care for him thats OK too.

I stand by what I said. It doesn't take a very intelligent person to know you don't compare a football game to tragic events like those of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

Just a thought...he really did know what he was talking about. Alabama fans take their football pretty serious.
