December 11, 200718 yr And my point on why the proposal by the privates for a specific investigator is not the solve all as these things are extremely difficult to prove. Which means, to me, that Bylaw 10 should be written in a way that allows the enforcement to be effective.
December 11, 200718 yr Which means, to me, that Bylaw 10 should be written in a way that allows the enforcement to be effective. But the vast majority, IMO, of recruiting is parent-to-parent at offseason games. How do you ever corral that?
December 11, 200718 yr Ask Tates Creek, they will tell you to make sure you have audio with the video.
December 11, 200718 yr But the vast majority, IMO, of recruiting is parent-to-parent at offseason games. How do you ever corral that? There probably is no way.

December 11, 200718 yr Give your parents a reason to brag about your program to other parents... Bragging and recruiting are different.
December 11, 200718 yr Bragging and recruiting are different. You sure about that? If there's nothing to brag about, academically or athletically will there be any recruiting?
December 11, 200718 yr Give your parents a reason to brag about your program to other parents... I am not saying having your parents doing that. I am saying, I believe this is where recruiting is happening. And if you are wanting to stop recruiting, how are you going to stop the parents from recruiting other parents?
December 11, 200718 yr I'll explain, when just getting started (not much to bragg about) you really have to go get'em (recruit). After some success your program will start recruiting itself (academics). Success will continue and flurish under this pretense of we only show the academic side. If you don't get caught early less chance of getting caught.
December 11, 200718 yr Bell, I think you have left out the importance of AAU teams and the recruitment of the players through the AAU teams.
December 11, 200718 yr Bell, I think you have left out the importance of AAU teams and the recruitment of the players through the AAU teams. Very True, AAU we could go alot of places we don't have time to go with that.

As those move from the youth, to middle, to High School Programs, they have the tools needed to become successful.
December 11, 200718 yr Very True, AAU we could go alot of places we don't have time to go with that. But don't go with the pretense that only the Private school parents recruit through AAU.
December 11, 200718 yr But don't go with the pretense that only the Private school parents recruit through AAU. Absolutely not. But in the 3 cases I am familiar with, it went AAU and from public to private.
