I don't know anything about Lincoln Co. I'm not getting on here and making any bold predictions, what I will say is that with dials hurt it really hurts the Eagles chances. I hope the eagles come to play friday night, Good Luck to my Boys in Black & Gold.

Here's what I know about Lincoln County. They've made several long runs into the playoffs including 1990 when Ashland met them in the 3A State Championship. The Patriots have a proud program, not unlike Johnson Central strugled they a bit in the early 2000's until they found their current HC Coach French.

 

I have NO doubt that this will be a great football game, but all you Eagle fans can't let your thread get high-jacked by all this Highlands banter.

I agree. This one should be a dandy. It will be tough to go on the road and pull out the victory, but I believe our team is capable of it. Both teams present solid defenses so I cant see either team getting out of the 20's. Plus the running game of both teams should make for a quick game.

 

On that last part, I sure hope we can make you proud.

Good luck to both teams. IF we beat Letcher, and I think that game will be closer than some think, I look forward to meeting the fans on whatever team wins this game. Both schools have very solid programs and their administrators, coaches, players, parents and fans are to be commended. LN

IMO I think this will be a very physical football game. I have seen both teams and LC has some very good men front. If JC is to win they must manage the clock and play keep away.

We saw the facilities in Ft. Thomas twice (1979 and 1981) and Highlands has nothing but respect from Lincoln County.

 

You won't bait us into trash talk with the Bluebirds.

 

If we get past a very good Johnson Central team then we will welcome the huge challenge that awaits against arguably the greatest football program in the state.

 

I hope it happens so I can see my Highlands BGP friends and make my return to that unique stadium, which return has been 26 years in the making.:ylsuper:

I don't know much about JC, but Lincoln is one terrific defensive football team. The Pats don't figure to score lotsa points, but they give up darn few!

Seriously, Lincoln Co. is the "original" Death Valley (at least as it applies to KY football). Belfry adopted the moniker later.

The Stanford Wildcats was Lincoln CO.'s only football before the new school consolidated the county.
