I think that UGA would be un-wise to try and open it up with the Cats on the flip side...I look for a ball control offense from the Bulldogs, if they can sustain long drives, it will press UK into forcing some things......that is never good.

This Georgia team looks strikingly similar to the Arkansas team of last year... This should be a great one!

This one has the potential to get ugly I think. Georgia is playing as well as anybody in the SEC right now. I hope I'm wrong but I'll say

UK- 30 (thanks to some late scores against the 2nd squad).

We haven't played well since we beat LSU. UK and Georgia I think is a pretty even matchup. The one thing that worries me is it's on the road. However I think the difference will be who makes the stop in the end and I think it will be Kentucky.

I think this one has the potential to get ugly. Georgia is looking for some pay back for last year, and they have a stud RB to pound at UK's weakness all day long. UK's offense hasn't looked up to par the past two games.

The Dawgs running backs are second to the Hogs and thats saying a lot. That will be difference in the game. Bama had all kinds of trouble with them in our OT loss.

They win and they might play in the SEC game.

Not necessarily, AL...if UK beats Georgia this weekend while Tennessee beats Vandy, and then UK beats Tennessee next weekend...the standings in the SEC East would show a 4-way tie for first place.

 

Florida would be 5-3 with wins over UT and UK and a loss to UGA.

Tennesse would be 5-3 with a win over UGA and losses to UF And UK.

Georgia would be 5-3 with a win over UF and losses to UT and UK.

UK would be 5-3 with wins over UT and UGA and a loss to FLA.

 

I have no idea how the winner would be decided, but I don't think the fact that Florida beat UK head-to-head would be the only factor. :thumb:

 

Of course, I seriously doubt UK wins these last two, so it probably won't matter. But, UK is the wild-card in the SEC East race...if they lose at Georgia and win against UT then the Dawgs are in...if they lose both, UT is in...if they win both, then I don't know what happens.

If UK gets down early this game is over..The Cats cant get down 14-17 early in the game

I tried to check the tie-breaking format for a 4-way tie...I'm not sure I'm right on it (maybe someone can clarify exactly what would happen), but from what I can guess, it doesn't look like UK would have a chance to win the east. I guess their only chance was Florida losing against USC.

 

Of course, it might be better in the long run...if UK did win out and finish 9-3 and Florida got the East Division crown, more than likely, they're going to lose to LSU, which would knock them down another notch...that might be the best scenario for UK. It would probably result in their most prestigious bowl bid. Possibly a BCS bowl (although I'd say that may be unlikely)...at the least a really good New Year's Day Bowl.

 

It's fun to think about these things. However, I expect UK will be lucky to win one of the last two.

But, you know, it's been very hard to do this week! As bad as I want to win both the remaining games I really want to beat Tennessee. So if we are going to lose to UGA hopefully we keep it respectable...you know for the sake of the children.

Cats have a lot to play for these next two weeks. Win out, and they win the SEC East and get another round with LSU. Would be a huge step for the program if they were able to play in the SEC championship, no matter the outcome. I don't see it happening, but it will at least make this week's game extremely exciting to watch.
