There are so many reasons not to like our Cats' chances this week that it almost seems too easy. Georgia, unfortunately, will win this one by double digits...although I don't think the Dawgs will get into the 40's.

Actually, I think the Cats match up reasonably well here. Georgia has struggled all season with tight ends and 'release' backs. They do a fine job on wideouts, but I think the short passing game will work well enough to keep Stafford & Co. off of the field. If the defense can make some stops on UGA's run game, I think Kentucky can win this one.

 

I agree with your anaylsis, UK is the one team that UGA does not match up to. UK will move the ball all day but must make stops to win. UK-31 UGA-28

This is one I would love to say that UK could win, and a couple weeks ago I did. I stated that they would win by 2 TD's. Now, after the performance over the past 2 -3 weeks, I have to change my stance. The VOLS just stood UGA up and never let them get in the game. I can't see UK doing that anymore. They could out score them, but with both UGA's RB's healthy, I look for the DOGS to win by 14 or more.

IMO the Bulldogs are playing as well as anyone in the country right now. I say the Dogs whip the Cats Between the Hedges.

This may be ugly. With Georgia still stewing over the loss last year and playing as well as anyone in the country right now, this could be a woodshed defeat. I hope not, I hope the CATS can come back with a little bit of fire in their belly and get the big win but dont' think it will happen.

UK would have to play leaps and bounds better than they have the past two weeks to beat UGA...I don't see that happening.

I just can't see it any other way. UK seems to be fading down the stretch and Georgia is playing as well as they have all season. Factor in that the game is on the road and UGA probably wants to redeem themselves after losing in Lexington last year...I think they'll win by more than 11.

The way Tennessee is playing these days, it looks like we're going to finish 7-5. If UK can get back to the level they played at against LSU and Florida, I certainly think they have a shot to win these games, but it just doesn't seem likely. It looks like the season has taken it's toll physically and mentally and the Cats are running on fumes. I hope I'm wrong.

Although Georgia is playing really really well right now, I think this game sets up well for Kentucky to be competitive. The past seasons the teams that have Kentucky the most trouble are the dual threat QB's. Matthew Stafford is a good QB, and getting better but he is definitely not a dual threat. Georgia's freshman RB Knowshon Moreno is extremely talented, but if Kentucky can contain him they should have a chance to win the game.

 

This all hinges on the UK offense regaining its former prowess and swagger that they have been without the past few weeks, but if they are able to get back in rhythm, this could be a close ballgame. And as we have all seen this Kentucky team is capable of playing with anyone in a close ballgame when time becomes a premium.

 

I'm going to say that the offense gets its mojo back and the Wildcats get a huge win down in Athens.

My pre-season prediction was Georgia 28-24. I will alter it slightly to 30-27 Georgia. I still believe, though. The Dawgs are playing awfully well and it is on the road.
