I can agree with you oldrambler. Raceland had better show up for this game. It is at Ram Stadium, so they should know how to get there. If the Raceland team that played West Carter shows up, then the season is over. Raceland had better come out ready to play, and show some emotion. Someone is going have to step up and be the leader of this team.

 

As for basketball, I hope there is no one in Raceland looking that far a head, and if there is they need to move up the road, or back down the road, which ever.

My past experiece with that is, I have seen some really talented athletes going into the rounds of the playoffs not caring one way or the other if they win or not, due to the fact they are wanting to play basketball. Another problem with playing at a small school.

 

i.e. As much as I love UK, I will NOT watch one basketball game until football is over.

But maybe not everyone loves football as much as we do?

It should be a good game-that being said I believe that Raceland will come out on top.

Having watched both teams this should be a good game. Nothing against Fairview, but I'll take Raceland in this one because that is who I'm rooting for. It seems like they have a great group of coaches, players, and fans, so I like to see those teams do well. Raceland is a great example of class, from the top down. Thanks for your kind words about Raceland Cats, like one local businessman said to me after bringing his son to Raceland Schools, "Raceland School System is the best kept secret in Eastern Kentucky".

I think Raceland can shake off the last two weeks and get it done. I think they need to play with their heads on straight. These late hit penalties and taunting penalties have to go even if it means sitting some guys down to prove a point. They have got to get back to learning how to fundamentally tackle a person on defense. If they do that I think Raceland has the talent to outplay Fairview, but Fairview is going to want this one bad. Rams have to play perfect and I think they can and will.

I most definitely want the RAMS to win, but it is very difficult to beat a good team twice. Look at the Raceland/LCA matchups last year for example. One positive is that we are at home again where the orange cloud will more than likely roll in.

 

I cant possibly take just one more week of football in Raceland so something will have to give!
